As for Eldoret that's a university hospital it's like Bungando hospital to Bungado university of health and applied sciences.

Here is county referral hospital level 5 for u!

As for Kakamega will make 4th county referral hospital if the cost known! Cause value of money is important u can't build a 300 beds hospital at a value of 600 beds hospital!

Imagine $65 mln for only building structure for this Kakamega county referral hospital n has stalled not finished. Sorry, I don't see value for money in that project.

The thing is not the buildings but facilities. Another thing is that some of these hospitals have expansive spaces and can have single storey buildings scattered across the land. Like the case of Nakuru and Moi. Even beds are not an issue. That's just a marketing gimmick. You can't count the space of a hospital like that of malls and offices. Before I make conclusions on value for money, I would first need to see where the money is going and not merely the size of the building or bed capacity. You understand you can build just empty rooms and fit beds right? However, the cost of say a kidney dialysis machine will eclipse that of beds. Another thing that would determine size is the population and availability of clinics. Also, it would be wise to avoid taking news stories as gospel truth. They're being written by people and people have interests. I immediately discarded that story when I saw Eugene and The Star on one sentence.

I am not the right person to answer that question. My government is. They will also tell you the big efforts they are putting in improving other small health facilities across the country.

Out of ur 47 counties u cant even show 5 proper county referral hospitals n yet u yap of devolution! Tanzania has built over 94 districts hospitals with inpatients n outpatients facilities! Idiot of highest order! devolution my foot!
