Reading about Kenya's Nairobi in the minds of the Tanzanian people it is almost believable that Kenyans are wallowing in poverty until you visit the city itself that never sleeps...Nairobi is a 24 hrs economy with energetic Nairobizens who never tires to earn a living, from midnight the city will burst to life with clubs booming with music, beautiful matatus blaring horns and beats that will make you agape with awe....from the sky line it is just awesome, beautiful, majestic and breathtaking and only a retard will look away...along the Kencom area in the morning gorgeous ladies on their way to offices in milimani areas and westlands will mesmerize your sight and by evening the city is flooded with revelers jamming the clubs where the light never go off...this and much more is what welcomed me to this city in the sun....Nairobi is a city in its own standards and i can only compare it to Cape town or Bloemfontein in south Africa. But the most unfortunate thing in this forum is the way you are comparing Nairobi with Dar es-alaam,Ladies and Gentlemen you cannot compare a city under a capitalist and another one under socialist...economically and politically DAR is a dwarf to Nairobi and for those trying to highlight Dare-salaam in comparison to Nairobi i have only one word for you..get a life!

SLUMS
A great majority of Dar es Salaam’s population lives on unplanned and informal land and lacks access to appropriate housing and services. Furthermore, there is hardly any coordination among local actors and land developers. Weak policy enforcement influences the poor land development coordination and control. However, the city government has made an effort to implement land policies and legislation that support participatory planning, reform, and the formalization of informal property rights, in order to reverse urban poverty trends and reduce the number of unplanned settlements. The local authority in Dar es Salaam lacks the capacity to supply planned and serviced land in urban areas, and a large number of low-income dwellers have been forced into unplanned and unauthorised settlements. Institutional planning and urban land policy have to be reformed to respond to the challenges of rapid urbanisation. Specifically, the provision of affordable low-cost housing and secure tenure for the community should be an objective for future planning and administration in Dar es Salaam.
ok! but take a time to learn how to differentiate these two terms
1.unplanned settlements
2.slums
this is how we can help you crazy guys!

Swala la ajira is a global problem ila swala la ldc isn't. Back to education matters, hiyo elimu yetu bora imetusaidia kuwa na uchumi kubwa kuliko yenu, it has helped us to have a bigger middle class than your country, it has helped us to have the highest number of professionals than any other country in this region, it has helped us to have one of the best universities in Africa, it has helped us to have the most important and advanced city in this region; Nairobi, it has helped us to have one of the most democratic consitutions in Africa, etc etc...I can go on and on
Who in their rightful mind would want to move from kenya to a shithole ldc country kama hiyo yenu? Your level of backwardness is too much for us to stand
Hio ni kweli In fact i can confirm your narration because most of the Tanzanian musicians are coming to Kenya and not the other way round..surely Tanzanians should ask themselves why singers like diamond are planning to relocate to Kenya, the answer is simple Kenya is a good market to his music but if a country cannot nurture their own and make them an international brand, then they have a problem...i am still waiting for a day that Kenyan musicians will die to perform in Daresalaam or to hear International brands like German Mercedes, volvo or clothing line like the Italian Gucci wanting to relocate to this sleeping retard....

collo mzii aliokota picha za congo tena kambi za wakimbizi akasema dar nilicheka sana😀😀😀
The problem with you Tanzanians is your denial...you have this sense of refusing to acknowledge that Tanzania and in particular dar-es-salaam will never be compared to Nairobi no matter how much you post images of Kibera which i even doubt their authenticity secondly any City that is an economic powerhouse will always attract low cost houses and even sometimes shacks...take a look like New york has south Bronx and Detroit areas that you wont believe is the United states, the only way that you can hide your faces is to say you are improving or playing a catch up to Nairobi,so simple and normal...someone posted beautiful images of enormous hotels from Nairobi which directly showed that you are not even close to matching up with Nairobi despite of you having a coast line..please be truthful and dont mind exposing your weakness in terms of development!..Kenya and Nairobi in particular is way above average simple and period!

Hahahahaha, you must be mentally sick, do you have musicians in Kenya? even you are selves don't prefer your shit music style, DRC has Bolingo, Tanzania Bongo flavor, South Africa has Quoito, what do you have.

My friend if you come to Tanzania will not hear a single Kenyan music played in our media even the whole month, under that situation what do you expect if your musicians perform in Tanzania? Even if they want to perform free of charge believe me nor one will attend.

Hapana boss, the purpose of this forum is to compare the greatness of ones city but you guys have turned a very good forum to a gutter and rumor with lies based on rumors and hearsay's......the real competition is where i ask you how many banks do you have in Tanzania?...how many internet providers do you have in Tanzania?.....how many radio and television stations do you have in Tanzania?....How many international food outlets like the MacDonald are there in Tanzania?...but still i would ask you how many 5 stars hotels do you have?..those questions answered correctly will conform you to international standards able to compete with Cities like Nairobi and others....oooh do you know that you guys have only 26 Radio stations but only eleven are commercial and the rest is non-commercial.
