forex reserve doesnt mean there is money somewhere sitting idle, its a total of all investments made by CBK everywhere on earth, thats why you might have a large forex reserve and still face liquidity problem like what happend last year

Major source ya forex reserves ya Kenya ni remittance , loans na government bonds with little exports.
Huoni mostly ni loans au hujui government bonds ni mfano wa loans .
Tanzania mains source of forex ni exports za commodities, fdi ambayo mainly inatokana na reinvestment ( kwa 2025 Iko 6.6 bil usd while Kenya Iko na 1.5bil usd.
We don't have high forex reserves because we import less as compared to kenya importation of 20bil usd versus exports of 10bil usd
