Again Tanzania side of Kilimanjaro is the windward fertile side while Kenyan side is the leeward Savanah .( similarly to Mt. Kenya … Meru side is windward meaning rich in fertile and agricultural land whereas Nanyuki is the leeward side , just a Savannah horizon.) .. you are lucky the border line put the whole mountain on your side but Kenya maintains the best view
