First of all the notion that beer is more expensive in Kenya than in Tanzania is false. A bottle of beer in Tanzania costs around KES 130, a bottle of beer in Kenya costs betweenKES 200 - KES 250 depending on the brand. But the Kenyan beer is sold in 500mm bottle while Tz beer is sold in 330mm bottles. A beer in a 500mm bottle in Tz would cost KES 200. The only country that genuinely has cheap beer is Uganda.
