Battle: Dar es Salaam vs Nairobi

Turkish Airlines expanding flight services to Tanzania from June

Monday, January 20, 2025

Turkish Airlines has unveiled plans to significantly expand its flight services to Tanzania, commencing in June 2025.

This strategic move aims to bolster connectivity between Turkey and Tanzania, facilitating increased travel and tourism between the two nations.

Enhanced Flight Schedule:

Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO): Flights will increase from the current four weekly services to 14 weekly flights, offering passengers the convenience of twice-daily departures.

Zanzibar (ZNZ): The airline will augment its services from nine to 14 weekly flights, ensuring two daily flights to this popular island destination.

Dar es Salaam (DAR): Services to Tanzania’s largest city will rise from seven to 10 weekly flights, providing more flexibility for travelers.

This expansion underscores Turkish Airlines’ commitment to enhancing accessibility to Tanzania’s renowned attractions, including the Serengeti National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro, and the pristine beaches of Zanzibar. By increasing flight frequency, the airline aims to cater to the growing demand from international tourists seeking to explore Tanzania’s diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage.

The Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) has welcomed this development, highlighting its potential to boost the nation’s tourism sector. The increased flight connectivity is expected to attract more visitors, thereby promoting local businesses and supporting sustainable tourism initiatives. The TTB continues to work closely with international partners to showcase Tanzania’s unique offerings to the global market.

In line with these efforts, the 8th Edition of the Swahili International Tourism Expo (S!TE) is scheduled to take place from October 11th to 13th, 2024, in Dar es Salaam. This event aims to promote Tanzania’s tourism to international markets and facilitate connections between local and global tourism stakeholders.
TANZANIA TOURISM

Turkish Airlines’ decision to expand its services aligns with Tanzania’s ongoing initiatives to strengthen its tourism infrastructure and global outreach. The airline, known for flying to more countries than any other, continues to play a pivotal role in connecting travelers to new and emerging destinations worldwide.

MY TAKE
Kenya airways ikae mkao wa hasara!

Kuna mtu kaumia🤣🤣🤣

1. Namba moja inaonesha kuwa wewe ni below average. Ni nensho anthem ya Tanzania, wimbo una asili ya huko.
1961 ndio ulikuwa introduced kwa dunia kama wimbo wa taifa na wengine wakaiga hapo.

You haven't denied what I said. You can't be boasting about your National Anthem being copied yet you are the only country in East Africa that took a National Anthem from a different country. All the other countries composed their own songs. It's ironical that you say they took from you when you actually took from them. Hivo ndivyo mlivyo. Same way mnakichukua Kiswahili na kusema ni chenu. Ule wimbo wa Jambo Bwana pia mnasema ni wenu.
2. Iwaje hamjui kiswahili? Nyie ni watu wa kudandia dandia tu mafanikio ya wengine.
That is your own assertions. Dunia nzima inajua Wakenya tunajua Kiswahili. Machungu yenu hayatobadilisha uhalisia. Sijui unaongelea mafanikio gani tuliodandia wakati historia inasema Kiswahili kimeanzia Kenya. Stop projecting. Nyie ndio mnajaribu kufosi Kiswahili kiwe lugha yenu pekee. Nyie ndio mnaodandia.

This is bullshit that has nothing to do with this discussion. I choose to ignore it. 🚮 🚮
