If you believe these statistics you've either never visited all the three countries or you're just stupid.
Uganda is literally where Kenya was in 2008 when it comes to MPESA. They use MPESA to send and receive money. Mtu akitumiwa pesa kwa MPESA anaenda anawithdraw ndio azitumie. MPESA transactions in Mombasa county alone are probably higher than those of the entire Uganda.
Tanzania is where Kenya was in 2014. Slowly picking up the cashless system of MPESA but still prefer hard cash. MPESA transactions in Nairobi alone are more than those in the whole of Tanzania.
Meanwhile in Kenya, your business literally can never survive without MPESA. Hata vijijini yule mama wa kuuza dagaa utapata amekuwekea till kwa kicarton amefungilia hapo kwa kibanda chake. Kitambo mtu alikuwa anakutumia pesa kwa MPESA unatoa Ile uwe na hard cash kwa mfuko. Siku hizi mtu akikupea hard cash unaenda unadeposit kwa MPESA ili usiwe na hard cash kwa mfuko. Most shops no longer stock scratch cards here because everyone buys airtime via MPESA. 99% of government services are paid via MPESA. Kenya's MPESA transactions is currently more than triple what the rest of East Africa transacts combined.
