Apart from the Kigali deal, already, a delegation from KPC is in DRC trying to secure a similar agreement. Kenya has already ramped up investment in advanced infrastructure to ensure South Sudan relies on the Port of Mombasa for its oil needs.

ā€œWe are now fine-tuning the last steps of the process and, therefore, with Rwanda coming on board, we have a larger market to serve and even generate more revenues,ā€ Joe Sang, the CEO of the Kenya Pipeline Company was quoted by The Africa Report as saying.

This deal is expected to be a foreign exchange bonanza for Kenya considering that currently Rwanda only imports 3 per cent of its oil through Kenya.

Rwanda, DRC and South Sudan's agreements with Kenya come at an opportune time as Uganda has tentatively agreed to continue importing Ksh264 billion worth of fuel annually through Kenya.

Uganda had in the past threatened to ditch Kenya and use the Tanzania route citing exploitation by Kenyan-based Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs).

Uganda is also expected to benefit from the Kenya-Rwanda deal as the fuel will pass through its territory and be subjected to standard levies.

KPC will pump the Rwanda-bound fuel to Eldoret where it will be picked up by trucks and transported to Kigali through Uganda.

Sang is optimistic that Kenya will increase oil export volumes not only to Rwanda but also to Burundi and South Sudan.

As it is with Rwanda's case, South Sudan will receive its refined fuel through Uganda after picking it up at the Eldoret KPC depot.

Mzee Rwanda hana lolote. Yupo hapo kwaajili ya kuleta vurugu. Achana nao hao.

The point is we always preside you in every major technological advancement…you copy similar initiatives we start .. am not saying we are the first but don’t you find it interesting that you always follow Kenya’s path in creating projects… Example we built SGR… sooner your citizens demanded one but electrified just to satisfy your egos, next we set up affordable housing schemes… sooner your government announced affordable housing programs Bongo… We announced the construction of Lamu port… sooner you came up with Bagamoyo massive port plan just to feel like you beat Kenya.. even the newly elected President Magufuli realized it didn’t make sense and stopped it… We started special economic zones… sooner Tanzania government announced the creation of similar projects beginning in Dar… We built inland depot in Naivasha… now there is a plan to build an inland depot somewhere in the middle of Tanzania…. We came up with a BRT plan for Nairobi… sooner you created a similar one for Dar ( I give you credit you built yours whereas ours still stuck on paper).. . Sooner we announced the expansion of JKIA … you announced a plan to expand JNIA … ( again kudos you did it despite being mabati rolling mills)… there are many examples I left out..😃😃
fool NHC has been doing affordable Housing since 1960s! Mind u we had independence before ur sorry dirty ass! As for BRT and fiberoptic network Tanzania is way ahead of u! Tanzania did not only expand JNIA is building several airports across the country aside Msalato international Aiport!

Locals first. Najua mmezoea kuleta foreigners to do your work, Kenyans are smart people that’s why they are producing stadiums better than all Tanzanian Stadiums apart from that Chinese donation.

The last you tried using locals this was the result.
