Both types were already in used but not widely used. Edison and Tesla rivalry was just a business competition.

While one could argue that there is no specific inventor of DC or AC. What Tesla did in that field should not just be thrown under the carpet. His inventions on the AC induction motor and the polyphase AC system are the ones that made AC current to be what it is today. For example, coming up with the AC induction motor laid the foundation for modern electrical modern infrastructure. You cannot just say that that was not a new way of thinking. AC current was developed by several people but you cannot say Tesla's works did not revolutionalize anything.

Before Tesla developing the AC induction motor, AC current was also limited due to lack of suitable AC motors. Early AC systems primarily relied on devices such as transformers, which were used for voltage conversion and transmission. Absence of AC motors restricted the widespread adoption of AC power for industrial and commercial purposes and DC current was preferred due to their simplicity and reliability.

It is after Tesla's invention of the AC induction motor that changed the whole paradigm. It is the invention of the AC induction motor that played a crucial role in the expansion and modernization of electrical power systems. Therefore, I still disagree with you saying that Tesla did not revolutionize anything

I've already said before, no one can take away Tesla's contribution in physics, he is recognized very well such that, his name is used as an SI unit. Having said that, he did not revolutionize theories of electromagnetism, and this is the reason why we don't have a theory or law named after him.

Yes, it's called a paradigm shift, one is what you just mentioned (Einstein's), the other one is Copernican's. In both paradigms, existing concept was revolutionized by a new way of thinking. Nikola Tesla didn't revolutionize anything, other than applying the existing knowledge.

You're using the word paradigm wrongly, this word is used only when you completely change the way people think or do things, it's like being brain washed.

When Copernicus changed our way of thinking about the sun (being the center of the solar system), we never went back to think otherwise. We still use permanent magnet motors every day, if Tesla was to change our paradigm then we wouldn't be using these motors today.

In as much as there is no widely recognized theories or law named after him, much of his works remained unpublished and no one could know what he had with him (Not just him, many scientists never published their works).

Einstein revolutionalized our understanding of gravity by giving a more comprehensive understanding than Newton's law of Universal gravitation. You also called that a paradigm shift. Newtons law of Universal gravitation is also still used today despite Einstein's theory also existing.

Newton's law of universal gravitation is still used in the modern world in predicting motion of heavenly bodies, designing of spacecrafts and satellites and other aspects in engineering field.

Both are still used today, so your claims that a paradigm shift is only when the older way of thinking is done away with is misleading

Einstein revolutionized because he completely changed how we think about gravity. He introduced new concepts like time dilation, gravitational red shifting, black hole etc. Name one concept Tesla came up with that was unknown before him?
