Battle: Dar es Salaam vs Nairobi

Battle: Dar es Salaam vs Nairobi

Hakuna kitu hapo. Nimeuliza since 2015 nani amekuja Tz?😂😂

Wali wa maharage is a staple food in Tanzania. Any household could EASILY access rice and beans in the country, irrespective of their income bracket. Why would any reasonable person wish to get KFC chicken and fries if they could cook something healthy at home and at a lower cost? And it’s not that Tanzanians cannot afford to buy chicken or any other form of protein — you just like the idea of consuming a meal from a globally recognized food chain because for some reason you believe it’s an indicator of social status: it is not.

It’s great to try out different cuisines from time to time, but KFC food is as bland as meals can get. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather eat food from another culture to try something different as opposed to consuming fried chicken and fries at a KFC restaurant.
Hata kwenye chicken consumption bado wapo nyuma, wakundustan yao githeri, Tanzania consumes tenfold the amount of chicken Kunyaland takes perday

KFC, or any food chain or restaurant, doesn't mean you don't eat at home. Most people in Kenya eat at home more than out but it's not always that you eat at home. Sometimes you're at work, sometimes you're traveling, sometimes you want to take a girl out or eat out with friends, sometimes you just want to try something new and sometimes you're a tourist who doesn't own a home in Nairobi. A complete interesting city is one that gives you most options. All these 'different cuisines' are in Nairobi in larger numbers than Dar. There are Nigerian restaurants, Kenyan traditional restaurants, indian cuisines, Chinese cuisines, Japanese cuisines, Brazilian, European, Ethiopian and of course those mama ntilies are there too. No city in this region offers more variety than Nairobi. What Teargas was trying to show you is how much more Nairobi offers than Dar but you decided to get stuck in the usual Tanzanian mentality I see here where you'll all boast about 'western things' that you have but criticize them when Kenyans mention them.

It seems like you haven’t stepped out of Nairobi. That superiority complex will wear out the moment you visit other places. Do you really think that Dar doesn’t have restaurants that offer a myriad of cuisines from all over the world? To make matters funnier, you think that tourists would be eager to eat at a KFC restaurant. If I were a tourist in Kenya, I’d want to try a local meal or find a restaurant that offers a lot of options, but not KFC. And you’re talking about “most people in Kenya eat more at home than out” while we know for a fact that your country has a hunger crisis. You thought you were fancy for eating a KFC meal and we exposed your ignorance.

I used one Bus by Banbros from Ushago to Nairobi this week. Belonging to Easy Coach. It was a beautiful ride. The manager told me they had placed another order of 15 such new buses from Banbros and that delivery is this coming Friday. I used to hate Easy Coach, but not any more. Also, they have removed class, no vvip, vipi or economy. Everything is equal.

Unlike most of your brothers here, I am well traveled. I don't speak out of ignorance like them.
First of all, it's not superiority complex, it's a fact. Sometimes facts are hard pills. Nowhere did I say Dar doesn't have restaurants that offer a myriad of cuisines, I said Nairobi is the regional leader in that. Your lack of comprehension skills does not constitute superiority complex from my side.
Secondly, I never said tourists will be eager to eat at KFC in Nairobi, I gave an instance where someone would rather eat out than cook when you went all out about how people prefer cooking in their homes. (And yes, while tourists won't be too eager to eat at KFC , they do eat at KFC).

....nowhere have I said it's fancy eating a KFC meal. Stop creating your own tales.

Kenya only has a hunger crisis on Jamii forums and you know that. You have been the voice of reason for a long time among your Tanzanian peers but it now seems like you're falling back to the same ignorant mentality.

Niliona akisema hakuna Isuzu Europe nikacheka Sana. Alafu these guys are a bunch of hypocrites, they are the biggest Europe worshipers but everything a Kenyan says here, they always spin it around to accuse Kenyans of being European worshipers. so just because a vehicle is not used in Europe it means it's a bad vehicle? I say projection.
