Mimi ninachohitaji kujua will JNHPP be sustainable regardless the Dry conditions of Rufiji River how long can the resevoir sustain power production incase tumeingia msimu wa kiangazi .? Any one anayeweza kuniambia ili tujue how can we depend on the dam ?
Geza Ulole

I know regardless of JNHPP we should not depend on Hydro as biggest source of power .During rain season we can totally depend on JNHPP aLone to feed the whole country na kubaki na surplus for the next 5 years our peak demand will be around 2000MW .Lakini during dry season Natural Gas will be our biggest supplier . So mitambo ya Natural Gas .Kinyerezi 1 ,2 Extension, Ubungo , Songas should be serviced during rainy season making them ready for dry season

And for that case We should continue developing Kinyerezi 3 ,600 MW and Kinyerezi 4, 450 MW to have exta 1050 MW during dry season. Incase JNHPP ita fail ku produce enough power .

Also i think we should no longer spend much money on HEP ,Malagarasi 50 MW should be our last. And we should look on Geothermal which is expensive but more reliable . As a country we should target to produce atleast 1GW of geothermal by 2030.
