Toyota Tanzania does not assemble any of its cars in Tanzania. Toyota Kenya assembles some of its cars in Kenya. Itabidi mbadilishe sheria ili assembling ianze kufanyika Tanzania. Sisi tulibadilisha sheria ili kuondoa import duty on knock down kits. Imported cars zilikuwa zinatozwa import duty ya 25%, excise duty ya 20% na VAT ya 16% lakini ushuru huu wa import duty on knock down kits ulipo ondolewa basi many brands na sio Toyota tu, zikaamua kuassemble Kenya ili kuavoid kulipa hio 25% import duty.Ya right..😎🙄

How can you call it car maker while the only thing they make here is the body? The chasis they used an old caravan chasis, everything else is bought, they buy tires separate, lights separate and everything else the only thing they do is weldingFrom chassis to vehicle, only in Tanzania
