Yeah the primary reason but apart from the primary reason it has helped in a way that actually surpasses the primary region go to you tube and see how many setlight towns have emerged or grown from the opening up of the north side.... Tourism to the north is even booming new places that even Kenyans dint know existed in Kenya Like now this not Dubai but its northern Kenya and guys have started doing dessert safaris soon the north will surpass coast as the major tourist site

nb: tanganyikans like Thebest007 will find it difficult staying in kenya coz they don't have enough disposable income that can sustain them in this country. they can't afford life here. kenya is very expensive for an average tanganyikan. better wakae kwao

eg. renting a normal 3bedroom house goes for ksh35,000 (tsh800 000) per month..
retail price for a bottle of tusker is ksh200 (tsh4,500), a bottle of guiness ksh220 (tsh 5,000).. mtanganyika atatoa hizo hela zote wapi. heri wake dar
