kinyerezi 3 cost yake ni ngap??? na kinyerezi 4 ????

Kwa vyovyote vile cost ya Kinyerezi 3 na 4 haiwezi kuwa chini ya huu mradi! I challenge him to produce the figures!

What you need to know:

  • The temporal closure of the road started at 7pm on Sunday evening and motorists have been advised to use the Miritini-Kwa Jomvu-Mombasa road as an alternative route.
  • Most affected will be the access of the Mombasa Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) Miritini station given that the train services resume today morning.
The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has closed a section of the Mombasa Southern bypass for two days, as part of the new road infrastructure touching on Moi International Airport developed cracks.

In a statement, the Authority warned motorists of temporary closure of the Miritini- Mwache-Kipevu road for period of 48 hours to allow for necessary monitoring and further engineering interventions.

“A limited section of the cut slope along the said road and adjacent to the Moi International Airport fenceline has been observed to exhibit movement as a result of previous moisture ingress and unfavourable subsurface conditions,” read the statement from KeNHA Director General Peter Mundinia.

The temporal closure of the road started at 7pm on Sunday evening and motorists have been advised to use the Miritini-Kwa Jomvu-Mombasa road as an alternative route.

Most affected will be the access of the Mombasa Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) Miritini station given that the train services resume this morning.

KeNHA, through its Assistant Director of Corporate Communications Charles Njogu, noted that the Moi Airport is also experiencing a similar phenomenon on slopes away from the road construction.

“Seems like a geological phenomenon over a wide cross section. Our engineers have moved to site this evening. Traffic at the section port bound has been diverted to one lane over a section of 800 metres,” Mr Njogu said.

The cracks have been at the road section for over three weeks.

kwa ufahamu niliosikia kinyerezi three alone sio chini ya 300usd

Gharama za uendeshaji kinyerezi III n IV? Mind u gas has to be bought n regular maintenance needed!

Gharama za uendeshaji kinyerezi III n IV? Gas has to be bought!
Yeah..gas has to be bought..thats what keeps the cost per unit juu..despite ni the cheapest in EA...

Ila tunanunua Gas TPDC yani tanesco ananunua from tpdc..ambao wao wana hisa kwenye hizo wells of course sio big % ila wana hisa ..

My strong argument..is TpDc used almost _500+ mil usd na nying ni mkopo from Exim China...kujenga bomba la gas amabalo wanasema utilization yake iko below 20% ...so whats the aim ya kufanya hvyo kama hatutatumia kwa kuongezea mitambo ya gas ..?..viwanda vitazidi kuungwa bado ila havitumii gas kama powe plants

katika hiyo $550 mln, umeangalia value chain yake? Ukijenga gas to electricity generation plant ni una-import generators na kufunga! Pretty sure over 90% of the project cost is to be outsourced i.e from abroad that includes the procurement of manpower with the necessary skills (gas to electrical power generatorion).

Unlike gas-electric power generation when one does hydropower plant, steel bars, quarries and cement plus civil engineers r from within the country (Tanesco has been doing hydropower projects since 1970s) only generators n few engineers r to be procured from outside! While hydropower is civil workers intensive n readily local available, hence economic multiplying effect!

BTW u mentioned Kinyerezi III and IV but u r listing Kinyerezi III and Kinyerezi I extension! which is which mzee? Can u tell us Kinyerezi I cost before extension? How about lifespan of the power generators? Kingine Songwe hydropower project is to produce up to +300 MW that 180 MW is all year round figure!
