That's according to fresh reports in Spain today that claim the former Premier League star has grown frustrated at the lack of opportunity at the Nou Camp.
Song made only his third start of the season this weekend in a 4-1 victory against Valladolid, with Catalan paper Sport comparing his form to be improving towards how he played for the Gunners.
Barca team-mate Sergio Busquets is currently favoured over the 26-year-old, and could lead to his departure from the reigning La Liga champions in January.
Manchester United are also said to be keen to snap up the defender during the winter transfer window but are having to wait to see if Barca are willing to risk letting him leave.

Song is still reportedly hoping to win over Barcelona's new coach Gerardo Martino during the current term, and will be hoping his record 100% pass completion rate will have impressed.
Goals from Alexis Sanchez in the 14th and 64th minute, Xavi in the 52nd minute and Neymar in the 70th minute helped Barca secure their 8th victory after Javi Guerra handed Valladolid a shock 1-0 lead with just eleven minutes on the clock.

Arsene Wenger and Aaron Ramsey have won the Barclays Premier League manager and player of the month awards for September in recognition of Arsenal's flying start to the season.
The table-topping Gunners - who many tipped to miss out on the top four before the season started - won all four League games in September, beating north London rivals Tottenham as well as Sunderland, Stoke and Swansea.

Wales midfielder Ramsey scored four League goals in the month, two coming at Sunderland, one at home to Stoke and one away at Swansea. It represents quite a turnaround for the 22-year-old, who had only scored three goals in the last two top flight campaigns combined.

Ramsey told of his delight at winning the award, tweeting: 'Very happy to be named Premierleague Player of the Month for September. Hoping for an even better October!'

Wenger - currently the longest-serving manager in England - has now won 13 top flight manager of the month awards since his arrival at Arsenal in October 1996.
Arsenal head into the international break top of the league with 16 points from seven games following Sunday's 1-1 draw at West Brom.
