Blood pressure (BP) is killing a lot of young adults. Men as young as late 30s to early 40s are now succumbing to complications caused by BP; and this is unacceptable!
Always know your numbers. The general accepted number is 120/80 even though this number varies slightly by age. The American Heart Association, however, is encouraging people to stick to this number whenever possible or go slightly lower.
Watch your weight. Watch your salt, alcohol and caffeine consumption; and whenever possible exercise regularly (at least 3 days/week). Brisk walking for 30+ minutes, rope jumping, moderate weight lifting...anything you can do to avoid being sedentary or a coach potato.
Together with your BP numbers, also know your cholesterol and sugar numbers. You can/will avoid a lot of health problems by maintaining these numbers to their optimal levels. Even the main culprit of the rampant upungufu wa nguvu za kiume is likely to be one of these numbers...
