Position: Materials Engineer
Project Location: Karatu, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA), Arusha Region, Tanzania

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Materials Engineer to join our road construction project of Upgrading of 29.5km Road Section inside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA).

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and control the quality of construction materials used in road works.
• Conduct and oversee laboratory and field testing of construction materials.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, technical standards, and contractual requirements.
• Prepare material approval reports, test reports, and quality control documentation.
• Coordinate with project engineers, consultants, and contractors on material-related matters.
• Monitor material sources, production processes, and quality assurance procedures.
• Provide technical recommendations regarding material suitability and performance.

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience in construction materials engineering, particularly in road construction projects.
• Minimum 15 years of total professional experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in similar road construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of material testing standards, quality control procedures, and road construction specifications.
• Registration with the relevant professional engineering body will be an added advantage.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
