YARD /WAREHOUSE MANAGER
INDUSTRY: FMCG
HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Yard Manager who will be responsible for leading and controlling all yard operations, ensuring efficient flow of returnable and non-returnable packaging, accurate stock control, strong safety compliance, and smooth coordination with internal departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee daily receiving, sorting, segregation, and dispatch of crates, PET, RGB bottles, pallets, and materials.
• Manage heavy truck traffic and ensure smooth vehicle movement to avoid congestion.
• Maintain proper yard layout and ensure high standards of housekeeping.
• Coordinate loading and offloading between Warehouse, Production, and Transport teams.
• Maintain accurate records of empties, pallets, and finished goods movement.
• Conduct daily stock reconciliations and ensure alignment with system data.
• Manage damaged, rejected, and scrap materials according to company procedures.
• Ensure full traceability of crates and bottles.
• Supervise yard personnel including forklift operators, loaders, casuals, and cleaners.
• Allocate daily tasks, monitor performance, and coordinate shifts.
• Enforce discipline, attendance, and compliance among staff.
• Train staff on safe handling procedures, FIFO, and company protocols.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and enforce proper use of PPE.
• Investigate incidents and implement preventive actions to maintain a zero-harm culture.
• Oversee proper use and maintenance of forklifts, clamp trucks, and yard equipment.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repairs and servicing.
• Monitor fuel usage and ensure accountability.
• Ensure efficient processing of trucks entering and exiting the yard.
• Collaborate with Warehouse, Production, Quality, Security, and Transport teams.
• Manage communication with drivers and transporters for smooth operations.
• Prepare and submit daily stock reports, yard updates, and manpower reports.
• Provide variance analysis and recommend corrective actions for operational gaps.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in yard, warehouse, or logistics management.
• Experience in FMCG, beverage, or high-volume logistics operations is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of returnable packaging management.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent planning and coordination abilities.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and safety awareness.
