Ameristeel Nails Limited, on behalf of its client, is seeking to recruit a
Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide strategic and operational leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening operational performance, improving profitability, and leading a comprehensive business turnaround within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for operational performance and lead initiatives aimed at restoring profitability and achieving sustainable growth.
- Oversee manufacturing operations including production management, quality assurance, and facility management.
- Implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, optimize costs, enhance productivity, and reduce wastage.
- Develop, implement, and monitor turnaround strategies, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational performance dashboards.
- Establish and strengthen systems, standard operating procedures (SOPs), internal controls, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems.
- Identify opportunities for additional development funding, actively engage with potential funding partners, negotiate financing arrangements, and maintain strong relationships with relevant development financiers and stakeholders.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a senior operations leadership role within the food manufacturing sector.
- Demonstrated success in business turnaround, restructuring, or operational transformation.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, national safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven commercial leadership with accountability for operational and financial performance.
