Leo tarehe 12 Machi 2026, Kituo cha Sheria na Haki za Binadamu (LHRC), sanjali na wadau wengine wa masuala ya haki za binadamu wamekutana na mwakilishi maalum wa Katibu Mkuu wa Umoja wa Mataifa, Parfait Onanga Anyanga katika ofisi za Umoja wa Mataifa zilizopo jijini Dar es Salaam.

Ndugu Parfait Onanga Anyanga yupo nchini kwa ujumbe maalum. Mazungumzo yalijikita katika hali ya haki za binadamu na utawala bora hapa nchini.

LHRC has participated in the Meeting with the special representative of the Secretary-General to the African Union and Head of UNOAU, Mr. Parfait Onanga Anyanga, who is in Tanzania for a special mission. The meeting was held at the office of the UN resident coordinator in Dar es Salaam.

Among other things, the discussion dwelt on the situation of human rights in Tanzania, including specific issues such as freedom of expression, the treatment of political prisoners, and the rights of marginalised communities.
