At least you can console yourself on the fact that what people are so seriously discussing is actually beneficial to you and your children and your friends and your kins as well. the issue is not that something is getting old or is not, the issue is not one of fashion, it is one of doing the right thing for your country. so far we have not reached a consensus. how can we? if there are people like you out there who do not think that if a group of our own leaders entrusted with running the country can betray that trust, is wrong and should be addressed.
the Dowans issue is not a small one. it is not about what amount is involved, it is an issue of principle. if a leader can cheat on Tshs. 10 and get away with it, why not cheat on Tshs 10,000,000 tomorrow, and even more and more and more...? if greed is involved, you can be sure that the amount will get bigger everyday. we do not want to wait for that in order to solve the problem. by the way, are you aware just how much we are talking about? and Dowans is not the only issue here. the issue is we have unprincipled leaders and as many Tanzanians as possible must know about this, and that is one reason we can never get tired of shouting about these things
You have fallen for the trick. that is exactly the way you are supposed to think, and the smart guys who are pushing this game are nodding their heads and congratulating themselves. trace where the money comes from to CTI, and trace again where the proceeds go. that will lead you to your culprits
If you go out of your way kutafuta mchawi huwezi kumkosa. But does it worth it? We care if there is umeme na taifa halihujumiwi. If you can show me how CTI kununua mitambo ya Dowans taifa linahujumiwa then tutaelewana. Tatizo ni conspiracy na paranoia (part of it is serikali to blame) that folks are not using their common sense kupembenua kati ya mchele na pumba.
The notion that we have been discussing about Dowans since 2006 bila suluhu inaonesha tusivyokuwa serious. The society, her people, and her institutions have failed. It sounds like Dowans is the only problem with this country, and that shows our smallness. Sometimes, u get a picture that if Rostam Aziz die today then Tanzania will be the highest economy in the world. That proves our smallness. And we blame opposition for that. Chadema thinks the path to maendeleo is getting rid of Rostam and that narrows the debate humu ndani on other means to alleviate poverty.
