Liverpool v Chelsea: Should Jose
Mourinho name an unchanged eleven
from Swansea?
With Bradford at home in the FA Cup at the
weekend, tonight is chance for Jose Mourinho to
postpone his customary rotation policy for the
League Cup games and name an unchanged side
from the team that started against Swansea. The
question is "Will he do it?"
Tonight is massive despite being the League Cup
and is the first trophy of the season up for grabs
with the final being at the end of Feb/beginning of
March.
Jose has used the competition to rotate some of
our players in previous rounds to give the regular
first team players a break and those that find
themselves as squad players a game for much
needed match fitness.
Now we have reached the semi final stage and
with the game being over two legs starting at
Anfield tonight, I can't help but think that the
manager will want to go strong tonight and to try
and take a lead back to the Bridge.
As I said previously in this post, we face Bradford
at home at the weekend and THAT would be the
chance to rotate some of the players (no
disrespect to Bradford) as next week we face
Manchester City on the Sunday after the second
leg of the semi final takes place on Wednesday.
I personally believe that with the absence of
Azpilicueta and Courtois, the team that started
against Swansea is the strongest we have
available and that is the one that should start
tonight.
Just to confirm that team being the one I would
like to start this evening:
Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, JT(c), Luis, Matic,
Fabregas, Willian, Oscar, Hazard and Diego Costa.
Should Jose Mourinho name an unchanged team
from Swansea to take on Liverpool at Anfield
tonight?
What do you think
