Those roads can only serve the street alleys of the estates in Nairobi. not wide enough. ..Lang'ata road is suffering coz of two lane dual carriage....kwanza the one to ongata rongai is the worst yet that town never sleeps...by 4.30 a.m everyone is on the road trying to avoid jam
The point isnt roads bro, you didn't get my point.
Those Jams in Nai are mostly contributed by private cars, isn't it??
Traffic congestion can effectively be minimized by Minimizing the number of Cars in the roads,
You can build 10lanes but if the destinations are just the same it won't work.
If you have efficient public transport systems people will opt to public transport over Private cars.

Like in Berlin,
They have Buses, Light rail trains, hybrid trains, Boats like in the river spree, bicycles, tax etc,
With all these plus Solid infrastructure its obvious you won't see Jams except two three cars near traffic lights.

In Dar we have this Bus Rapid Transport system,The modern one over the entire region, it comprises of modern buses, dedicated lanes, stations and the technology..
More than 200,000 passengers commute these busses per day,
People travel over 20km for only 20-30mns

The following facts surprises me;
1.Tanzania is almost twice the size of Kenya and all its' land is arable...Kenya on the other side has 1/3 of its land arable but Kenya exports more Agricultural products..more than thrice tz
2.Tanzania has more minerals than Kenya but not fully exploited
3.Tanzania has more national parks but trails Kenya in tourism
Mlikosea wapi jameni?????
Kabla ya kuzungumza hua unafkiria maneno yako??????
Nilikwambia kwenye sector inayoitwa agriculture hata usihangaike huiwezi Tanzania hata kwa ukucha.....
Upande wa minerals Tanzania is far ahead of Kenya liko wazi
Tourism tumewachapa bakora last year and this year as well na bado hamutaikamata Tanzania kabisa

Nairobi has more cars than the whole of Tanzania, remember that! Even now, BRT cant work in Nairobi, we are planning LRT
Nairobi has car than what ??????
Ama kweli bora upumzike maana unaelekea kuoneakana mwehu sasa😀😀😀😀😀😀

btw... Spesa ought to do much for danganyikans to win their hearts after facing so much criticism... danganya totoize

hehehe Nairobi kuna watu husema public service vehicles inawatoa roho...kwanza wale madem wa upmarket areas na gated communities hawawezi kubali.
but on this commuter buses I give it to Daresalaam. ...you nailed it.
Then again the matatu culture is a source of employment for most Nairobi youths in terms of graffiti artists, drivers, conductors..so it might be very hard to implement that.Given our wanting unemployment statistics. ..I think the matatu culture should stay.
