When a company (multinational or otherwise) wants to start operations in a new market, there are a number of factors it considers. One of these factors is the availability of skilled manpower. It looks for a location where it is guaranteed of getting skilled personnel to run its day-to-day operations. And who do you think these people are? They are not aliens or robots but locals. So yes, Kenyans are being employed by these companies in large numbers. The fact that Kenyan professionals are up to the task is why they are choosing Nairobi over that glorified fishing village of yours. These companies do not just wake up one day and decide to make Nairobi their regional or continental headquaters. They do due diligence and consider a number of factors before arriving at that decision. Pole lakini.

1. SGS has 2600 offices around the world .Their Tz operations doesn't cover Kenya ,lol coz they have 19 offices in Kenya alone and have been in Kenya 12yrs before Tz.

2. Equinor a Norwegian petroleum company is only Dar because of their huge stake in Tanzania's gas fields.They have far bigger oil/gas business in Nigeria ,Angola and Algeria (obviously they won't put their HQs in a smaller operations country like Tz)
3 .Statoil - that's a bold lie because Equinor and Statoil merged into one company.
4.CRJE is a construction company which is overshadowed by AVIC ,China WuYi .
