Battle: Dar es Salaam vs Nairobi

Battle: Dar es Salaam vs Nairobi

This is true. No self-worth high flying blue-chip corporate CEO will put up anywhere in Tz. Most are allocated ''executive'' houses in Dar but relegate them as company guest houses for visiting staff. They prefer Nairobi and operate remotely with occasional fly-ins to Dar or wherever. Remember the Rwanda tribunal court in Arusha, those fellows had homes in Nairobi for their weekend escapades and shopping.
Apart from superior living standards and vibrant social scene, most of them attest to the fact that in Nairobi you get skilled and well rounded expertise in every field relevant to their operations anywhere in Africa. Don't forget the international schools in Nairobi for their kids if the CEO is family oriented.
Sometimes I get confused with African brains specifically with Kenyans' brains if they do have brains, how can a person who is mentally sound and wise thinks about people who decide to stay in Nairobi instead of other cities. With all these problems facing Kenya of starvation, crime, high cost of living, unemployment, unstable political climate, corruption, tension between GoK and Judiciary, still there are brains which discuss about people who stay in Nairobi, really?, what value does it add to the common mwananchi who goes to bed hungry?

Their decision to set camp in Nairobi and not in Dar where they're posted says alot! Don't be blind to that. This debunks the myth here of what you all say nasty about Nairobi/Kenya. Kaa hapo with your self-pitty, the world is moving on and those with vision see Nairobi aligned with theirs. Don't cry more than the bereaved if at all they want you to cry for them. No Kenyan common mwananchi knocks at your door for alms. Keep your lane, stay in your cocoon and keep on denying the obvious if that is medicine that soothes you.
