China , IIndia , Mexico and Phillipines were partly built by remittances ( especially India).
Today the state of Gujarat in India is a first world nation if it would secede from India… all built by their diaspora ( the Patels, Desai , Bhaktas.. etc).
Fortunately the Gujaratis own 70% of all economy and business class hotels in America ( think about that )
They also own 50% of all convenience stores and gas stations in America
All that money goes to Gujarat
Kenyans on the other hand now own 20% of all care homes in Washington state and now spreading to other states. That’s about 600 care homes meaning potential 600 Kenyans dollar millionaires households in America.
So just because y’all Tanzanians can’t afford to venture beyond your borders doesn’t make remittances a bad thing…🤪
