US Navy chief and Kenya CDF opened the new $70 million joint Naval Commando training center at Mtongwe Naval base Mombasa . This the second US built base on the Kenya Indian Ocean coast after Manda base Lamu hence strengthening Kenya-US military cooperation even further. Among benefits upcoming includes more military equipment for Kenya Navy to ensure Kenya can project power over the African part of the Indian Ocean . This year alone Kenya and the US have conducted 2 reported joint military exercises ( you can YouTube it) and unknown number of classified joint exercises. Something is cooking on the Indian Ocean coast corridor. Time will tell .

Not bad .. but Nairobi team is not in full strength ( no excuses).But let’s be honest, Dar city team starting five including the top scorer is 3 Americans, 1 Nigerian and 1 South Sudanese. The only real good local player is Thabeet ( former NBA player). So unless they acquire citizenship, I will bet my account that Tanzania national team can never beat Kenya in any shape or form. Maybe it’s time for Nairobi team to recruit Americans too .
