We have mortgage financing but most of us don't take them. We prefer building our own houses in our own plots. It is unthinkable of me buying an apartment for USD 200k while with that money I can build two mansions each sitting on its own plot. Our lifestyles are different yours of servitude ours of liberty 😁

If the uptake is low it means majority can't afford it. It's simple common sense.

But majority don't build houses like the one you have posted due to lack of funds. Majority in urban areas live in unfinished houses.
