I always regard you highly in this sub forum but I think today I realized you are not well informed regarding the realm of United States foreign policy. Take an online class. For your hint , every country on the planet has its own chart at the file halls of the US state department. That’s how a world’s superpower operates. Though every nation has some form of similar aspect, the difference is the US has the ability to project power based on influence and interests. When you learn that field, then you might understand why Kenya is the regional choice for the United States and therefore special actions must be taken towards that goal. Military might is always a sign of power and influence, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you must be in war for you to upgrade. When you have lethal weapon, people will fear to attack or talk ill of you unless they feel that they can match your powers. Look at Israel, even with the tiny landmass it has, it still got the guts to attack Iran. The reason they did that was because they believed in their weapon. As long as Ethiopia keeps on modernizing their military, Kenya will also do so.

As you think of Al Shabab and Tz, Kenya is thinking of Ethiopia. Tanzania has no air power to trouble, it’s only Ethiopia and Uganda. Ethiopia is the real threat to Kenya in this region, then Uganda a distance second.

If Israel has what it takes, why did the United States launch major airstrikes on Iran?

Let me enlighten you. Israel 🇮🇱 always holds back in many situations due to the complex relationship the Arab countries have with the US. The Iran situation is also complex due to majority Shia presence in Iraq where US has military bases and Special Operations presence. Iran is the bedrock of Shia Islam. Israel must use Iraq airspace to get to Iran. There is nothing that unites all factions of Islam more than the hate for the Jewish state. The US must throw a wretch in certain situations to cover for Israel by making Iran an enemy of the US too. As Iamlee put it kindly, the Jewish state can occupy any part of the Middle East if they wish so. But it would create a regional war devastating economic activity including oil prices. So hitting Iran in strategic phases works every time and keeps them in check. And in both cases , Israel gets a cover and the US cement relations with Sunni Islam Arab countries that have fear of Iran regional dominance ambitions. No, Kenya is just trying to protect her pawn ♟️ position in the world pecking order. Tanzania does too, you probably don’t notice it. For example if Kenya was to become too powerful militarily, Tanzania would definitely react ( unless you personally is the leader and ignores it since Kenya is just a puppet 😁😁). In this case , Tanzania might cultivate a more closer military relationship with Russia 🇷🇺 and/or China 🇨🇳 to upgrade her military capabilities to counter Kenya despite being peaceful neighbors with each other. It’s just part of the game.
