This place is currently under construction. I will try to get pictures when I head to that side of the country.
I am impressed by how TZ 🇹🇿 forum members find these photos. In Kenya, people often post photos online to hold leaders and the government accountable and push for improvements. If similar public accountability were possible in TZ 🇹🇿, without repercussions, outcomes could improve. Sometimes shaming these African leaders publicly causes accountability.

Nevertheless, democracy serves as a safeguard against extremes. Even with an inept or corrupt president, the impact on the nation’s economy and citizens is mitigated by institutional checks and balances. In contrast, authoritarian systems function smoothly only under benevolent leadership—such as China’s, where a capable ruler can drive rapid national progress. However, once an incompetent or self-serving leader assumes power, the entire system becomes oppressive and dysfunctional. Unfortunaley, no country can have good leaders throughout their history. At somepoint, a tyrant or idiot who doesn't care about the people will take over. Tanzania provides a fitting example: under the late President Magufuli, the economy flourished, even though he killed many people.. Under President Suluhu, everything is going south and bongolalas can't do anything about it.
