The point I was making is if export prices are better, why not let farmers cash in . We can figure out other rice sources. I support the President if he can sign that rice deal. Same way the US exports oil and yet imports oil too because exporting it in the world market is more profitable. Let’s take care of our farmers first.

So what used to be temporary informal holdings scattered here and there in river banks along Nairobi became severely congested.
This problem was neglected by previous governments because of politics but the current regime is trying to sort out the mess with affordable housing and Nairobi rivers regeneration projects.
Meanwhile Tz should be more careful of dar turning into another lagos with informal settlements as far as the eyes can see.

Kweli unayosema but hizi slums zinapenya tu 6% of the city.na hii hali inabadilishwa na ujenzi wa nyumba za bei nafuu kwa mwanchi wa kawaidi.Kibera is a slum 99% of houses built by mabati no sewage system,no electricity,no proper water supply.
In our Tanzania informal settlements houses are built by bricks,there is proper sewage system somehow,there is electric supply and there is proper water supply every street.

Ati farmland ni tofauti homes. Wew umetembea Tz yote ukaja na hii point. Kwamba kenya hakuna sehemu farmland ni tofauti na homes?Shida yao wanahesabu vijiji zao za ujamaa kama miji. While in Kenya the land is subdivided such that in the village, everyone has their own piece of land where they build their house and farm, In Tanzania the farmland is separate from the village where they build homes. Some of them count those villages as urban areas hence get the illusion that they are more urbanized.
