Why are you say, your the last country interm of resources yet you have oil, oceans, geothemal ? And other natural resources ? stop bit around the bush
I said we are the least-endowed country in the region, not that we don't have resources. Kenya's biggest resource is her human capital. That's what's driving our economy, not mineral resources.
You say we have oil, it's true but how much does that oil bring the country in foreign exchange? Very little, if any. Last time I checked,
gold was the
leading foreign exchange earner for Tanzania. How has this natural resource existing in excess helped your country if Tanzania still leads the region in poverty index? You have gold as a leading forex earner but still have low HDI and what nots. What a shame!
Our coastline is not as big as yours. The question should be, what have you done with your much bigger coastline before asking what we did with our small one. Last time I checked, ships meant for Tanzania are still docking in Mombasa port!! What a shame for a country that has a bigger coastline! While we are building a second port in Lamu, Bagamoyo port is a dream that will never be realized. So boss, whose coastline has economic importance between these two countries?
On matters geothermal, we utilized that resource effectively. We have harnessed that natural heat to produce energy to power our homes and industries, that's why we are the most industrialized country in this region.
