the last cheap public transport in Dar es salaam City is city commuter train or treni ya mwakyembe

it has almost 3 routes within the city..
1st route; From Ubungo to CBD

2nd route;From Pugu (through gongo la mboto) to CBD

3rd route; From Pugu ( mwakanga) to Tazara

Without forgetting we have routes of daladala that are across within the city

in this routine colours of daladala are just mixed to interpret one's route easily

from one district to another you can take almost minimum of 10 minutes depends to where you're going and traffic jam too....

the longest route is from mbagala to kawe that can take less than 2hrs
but the rest can take 15 to 1 and half hr
this kind of routes are so common within the city

Also UDA runs town too, these guys have no specific route

but all in all hakuna blah blah kwny kusafiri from one area to another a hakuna shida ya usafiri ndani ya Jiji tofauti na almost miaka kadhaa iliyopita

our city is already congested to road's boundaries so its hard to expand the existed roads due to several factors

so kikubwa ni kuendelea kutekeleza the buses rapid transport up to the last phase

nyie wa light rail endeleeni na mipango but all in all tunataka mtu akija NAIROBI iwe easy kwake yeye akitaka kwenda sehem yyte within the city

as you call it "Dar is slum"
sawaa tuu ila ndo dar hiyo hiyo dar is slum ndo yenye access ya usafiri to and from anywhere within the city kuliko Jiji lingine lolote EA ukibisha kaandamane....
