It is not fare comparing Nairobi to Dar. That is like comparing a bentley(Nairobi) to a bullock cart(Dar).

1) Nairobi is a global city, Dar is just a city in Tanzania.
2) Nairobi CBD now officially has three districts with a fourth one yet to be recognized.
-Old CBD: This is the skyline most people see in photos with KICC etc
-Upperhill: This is the wall street of Africa, It plays host to some of largest the financial institutions in Africa from banks to insurance companies, investment companies, venture capital firms etc. (If you love the game of money this is where you want to be). Home of the Britam towers (200.1 m), the tallest building in east, central and most of southern africa apart from south africa. It is also home to the third tallest building in east and central africa and will soon have another record of hosting the tallest tower in africa (Pinnacle) and the tallest residential tower in east and central africa (Montave ).

-Westlands: This is the district playing host to the second tallest building in east and central africa (Global Trade Centre) and also home to African HQ of global accounting firms (PWC, Deloitte etc). It is also home to the biggest telecoms company in east and central africa (safaricom).

-Ngong Road (Kilimani): The fast growing area is not officially recognized as a CBD district but it has several upcoming office blocks and plays home to Kenya's vibrant technology startups. This area is home to more technology startups than any city in africa apart from cape town and joburg. Old residents have opposed the surging construction of offices and hotels eg Cytonn towers(140 m) was stopped after residents won a court case but another site is being procured still in Kilimani.

3) Nairobi is the third largest financial hub in Africa after Joburg and Lagos, Vision is to make it the leading financial hub in africa by 2030. Upperhill will be central in this plan since it will play host to the Nairobi International Finance Centre, a zone for capital from the rest of the world to find its way into africa.

4) Nairobi is a metropolis with three privately funded satellite cities coming up around Nairobi (Tatu , Tilisi, Northlands cities) and dozens of towns that have grown due to the Nairobi urban sprawl into the surrounding counties. No other city in east, central, southern africa (apart from south africa) and west africa (apart from Nigeria) has this.

5)Nairobi is a melting pot of global cultures, unlike most african cities, Nairobi is a huge melting pot of cultures from Africa, Americas, Middle east, Asia etc. Nairobi is the only city in east and central africa where you will find all cuisines from all across the world.People from across the world are making Nairobi their preferred home from jamaica, britain, barbados, nigeria.

6) Unlike the three bigger cities of Joburg and Lagos, Nairobi is considered safer. Joburg and cape town in south africa are now the crime capitals of africa with more gun violence and homicides than any other major city in africa. Lagos is strained by poor infrastructure and more crime than Nairobi. This has played well for Nairobi as Major global companies have moved their HQ to Nairobi.

7) Nairobi is an architectural marvel in Africa. It plays home to some of africa's best Architectural marvels, crowned by Britam winning the emporis award in 2019.

8) Investments in infrastructure have Nairobi being served by the biggest and best roads in east and central africa.Thika superhighway, 6 lane mombasa road, 6 lane waiyaki way, 6 lane outer ring road etc, Multiple dual carriageway bypasses around the city having the most beautiful interchanges in the region (southern bypass, eastern bypass, western bypass and northern bypass) which divert traffic from the city centre.

Upcoming Nairobi expressway will make Nairobi the only city in east and central africa to have an elevated highway. Revamped Nairobi commuter rail will ensure efficient transportation of 4 million people across the city and metropolitan areas which already has over 200 km of existing rail infrastructure.

9) Nairobi is the shopping capital of sub saharan africa outside south africa. Playing host to 2 of the largest malls in east and central africa and over 28 other average sized malls(average compared to the giants like two rivers and garden city).Nairobi is the undisputed king of retail in sub saharan africa outside south africa. From Global fashion brands, to luxury vehicles you can find anything and everything in Nairobi. Nairobi hosts the only bentley and porsche dealership in east and central africa, multiple luxury fashion stores etc.

In summary: Compared to Nairobi, Dar is a village town. Nairobi globally is compared to the larger cities of joburg, lagos and Cairo not Dar. Dar is better compared to Mombasa which also beats dar in infrastructure having the biggest port in sub saharan Africa apart from durban in south africa, A fully functional sgr, A new economic hub in the dongo kundu economic zone (Nissan and Toyota have already confirmed major investments in this zone). A functioning bypass set of roads which dar has not even started building. It will soon play host to the largest office block in sub sahara with the upcoming Kenya ports authority office complex.

NB: Coming to think of it, Dar might soon be compared to Meru Town, which already has three buildings under construction that will be thirty floors. Also bypass roads are currently under construction in Meru town. Meru town already has several malls.
Badaaa ya blabla zote hizo ukiambiwa ...ok mko mbele ay tuonyeshe sehem mumejenga km hapaaa.... mnanza kuwa kama ayo mapaka hapoo....ngoma ya watoto haikeshiii pimbi nyie

Ha hahhaaha, argue with facts not emotions. You have none. Nobody in the world knows dar es salaam apart from east africans but the whole planet knows Nairobi.

Bring facts on roads, rail, Buidings, malls etc. Not ignorant arguments that are not based on reality.

Story zenu zinapendeza sana kusikiliza but hazitoshi bado...Dar es salaam tayari imeshatengeza $billionaire and $millionaires wengi kuliko Nairobi hii pekee yake inaweza kukuonyesha wapi kuko imara zaidi...
