Team news v Man City: Sagna, Vermaelen, problems
There is a mixture of good and bad news in terms of injuries for our trip to table-climbing Manchester City on Sunday.
Defender
Bacary Sagna will make a return to the team and is available for selection, having been unavailable for selection since the game against Chelsea.
However, defender
Laurent Koscielny has a very slim chance of being included, whilst goalkeeper
Manuel Almunia is definitely unavailable.
Striker
Robin van Persie, midfielder
Aaron Ramsey and defender T
homas Vermaelen are all out till November at the earliest.
Manager Arsène Wenger said: "For the weekend, we could have Sagna available.
"That is basically it. Sagna will come back, all the others will be out.
"Manuel Almunia is very, very close but he is not yet completely confident on the stretch of his arm. He must be able to go with force into contact and he still has some pain there.
"Koscielny has a 20 per cent chance to be available.
"Vermaelen is ruled out for the weekend. He will still need two or three weeks. His injury is not a long-term concern but at the start we thought it was a question of days and now it is six weeks.
"You can't say it is not a concern at all. We are a bit concerned but he has had a final treatment that we think could kill it."
