Remember that polls are interesting only to a certain extent, especially gallup etc. Wao wanaangalia kama picha (photograph) of sentiment. Unfortunately they are not accurate and they swing widely. What you are seeing is bounces. Ndo maana both campaigns haev internall polls that they listen to very closely and during the primaries, Obama's internal polls were fairly accurate, showing that whichever company or person is working with them is doing a good job. That is why Plouffe said there's no need for drama, just vote for Obama.
But remember as well American elections are not decided on popular votes but electoral college votes. kwa hiyo hapa cha muhimu ni kuhakikisha that Obama wins the States that Kerry won and add 3 or 2 more states. So far things look good lakini Obama Campaing is not overconfident and they are busy canvassing and knocking on doors. These stories are not reported by the media but believe me the hard work will be reflected in the elections.
I suggest that you chill out and on election day everybody in America who is eligible to vote in the US, GO and VOTE!!!! Tell your friends, family and colleagues!! No way no how, no McCain, no Palin!!

More than 70% of Americans are not happy with the direction of their country. More than 75% no longer support Iraq's invasion and they would like to see the end of that unnecessary war asap. Americans' economy is underperfoming in many areas. Usually in many western countries when citizens are unhappy with the performance of the party in power, they always take necessary action on the ballot box to punish that party, but it seems this year many are not ready to see a black person in the WH. IMO, that is a big shame and it shows America has a long way to go before it can elect a president from another race, but I am still hopeful that voters will do the right thing to punish and remove Republicans from WH
