John Kerry was not comparable to Obama because he voted for the Iraq war, candidate ambaye alim-inspire Obama na Jaluo ametumia watu wake wengi katika kampeni yake ni Howard Dean. Yeye alikuwa 'massacred'by the media with the Dean scream jinsi walivyotaka kumswift boat Obama na Rev Wright. But Jaluo has the advantage of learning from other people's lesson. Also Icadon alipoint out vizuri that people are tired of the politics of distraction when there are serious economic problems, two wars etc.
I agree that despite this, Obama is a very strong candidate and his biggest advantage was that everyone always underestimates him!

This is the most conservative count niliyoona kuna zingine zinaonyesha kuwa he needs 169 delegates. But I am modest and picked the higher number. But I want you to see that 177 from 484 votes is not too much and I think he can easily pick that up by early June.

There are only six contests remaining in the Democratic primary calendar and only 217 pledged delegates left to be awarded. Only 7 percent of the pledged delegates remain on the table. There are 260 remaining undeclared superdelegates, for a total of 477 delegates left to be awarded.

With North Carolina and Indiana complete, Barack Obama only needs 172 total delegates to capture the Democratic nomination. This is only 36% of the total remaining delegates.

Conversely, Senator Clinton needs 326 delegates to reach the Democratic nomination, which represents a startling 68% of the remaining delegates.

Na ndiyo maana Diane Feinstein, supporter mkubwa wa Hillary amesema:

"I, as you know, have great fondness and great respect for Sen. Clinton and I'm very loyal to her," Feinstein said. "Having said that, I'd like to talk with her and [get] her view on the rest of the race and what the strategy is."

Clinton, who eked out a win in Indiana Tuesday night but lost big to front-runner Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) in North Carolina, has not responded to Feinstein's phone call, the California senator said.

"I think the race is reaching the point now where there are negative dividends from it, in terms of strife within the party," Feinstein said. "I think we need to prevent that as much as we can."

Koba: I agree sasa swali ni kwamba who will deliver the bad news to Hillary? Bill hawezi maana si unajua he was supposed to redeem himself with this, lakini haikufanikiwa, Chelsea maybe, but she's too close. Ninachosikitika ni kwamba Terry Mcauliffe ndo angetakiwa kufanya kazi kama hii maana Hillary anamwamini sana but ndo anazidi kumpotosha na anazidi kuongeza deni! Terrible!
Lakini pia Obama campaign sasa imekuwa more vocal katika kuhakiisha Clinton camp does not keep moving goalposts. I love this part of David Plouffe's letter to superdelegates:

We played by the rules, set by you, the DNC members, and campaigned as hard as we could, in as many places as we could, to acquire delegates. Essentially, the popular vote is not much better as a metric than basing the nominee on which candidate raised more money, has more volunteers, contacted more voters, or is taller.

The Clinton campaign was very clear about their own strategy until the numbers become too ominous for them. They were like a broken record , repeating ad nauseum that this nomination race is about delegates. Now, the word delegate has disappeared from their vocabulary, in an attempt to change the rules and create an alternative reality.
