I see christians and muslims plus others have shied(sp) off this discussion for obvious reasons...
I wish to confess that I had often wondered about God's existance, it had been something gnawing @ the back of my mind and had gone on to assure myself that he must exist for how else can we explain loads of things ?
However; I had been put to trial and tribulation, with my science and knowledge there was no way I could get out of those if it wasn't for God lord almight, yes might sound sullen and foolish to the likes of Kiranga
But to me..oh yes! God exist and he is living in my life, I don't need to explain myself nor defend my faith because I don't think I will do justice to such arguments nor to the topic being discussed here, all I know is he lives in me! And such wonderful thing this is..such peace..such joy in knowing him...this is for me...
I believe am speaking for a vast silent majority who don't want to get caught in this abracadabra for obvious reasons that some smart scientist and idealists will go and tear their points apart with proven formulars and other adages, well as for me and my house we are serving the lord!
There is God and am the witness!
Thank you.
You have stated your case clearly.
Your's is a case of belief, and not knowledge. I don't have a problem with this. You can believe in anything, god, the Loch Ness monste, Santa Claus, Popo Bawa etc, as long as you acknowledge that it is a belief, based on faith, not knowledge based on facts.
Faith is accepting something without scrutiny, without questions, by definition you can have faith in anything.
Whether what you believe in is true or not, that is a different issue, the bone of contention of this thread.
Essentially you are saying "There is god, and I am the witness" someone asks you "Why do you say so?" Your answer is "I just believe so, I feel it in my bones"
Well someone else could say the same thing about Santa Claus, The Loch Ness Monster, Santa Claus, Popo Bawa etc, and you couldn't begin to dispute.
