To those who are looking for an effective and relatively fast way to learn French online, I think you should try FrenchPod101 that I'm introducing again in this thread on Russian Roulette's request, hoping this site will be of great help to you.
I haven't used Frenchpod101 myself, but I suppose from my own experience with that company's other language learning programs (such as GermanPod101) that the method is similar for all their programs.
The site offers downloadable podcasts, written lessons and other tools to help you learn French. You can sign up for free, but the membership is only free during the first seven days after which you'll have to pay a certain amount of money (in function of what type of membership you wish to subscribe to) to keep having access to most of the language learning material they have. You can download ten written lessons (in the form of a pdf file) and all the audio lessons you want during the first seven days though and since the audio lessons do contain a lot of information (a French conversation is repeated three times (once at normal speed, once at a slow speed and once with translation), components of the French culture are discussed, then some new vocabulary is introduced and finally a specific grammar point is explained), it is probable that you won't even need all the additional features, as i have never needed to when I used some other programs that that same company offers. And also, if you have Itunes and you want to experience what an audio lesson is like without signing up, you can do it here.
Cela dit, je vous souhaite bonne chance à tous dans votre apprentissage de la langue de Voltaire! http://translate.google.com/#auto|e...votre apprentissage de la langue de Voltaire!
