Many people say that "Since Osama admitted that he planned the september 11 attacks in one of those videos", then conclude that really he was the perpetrator of those attacks!. but never questioned the authenticity of those videos!.

However There are accounts in which Osama denied strongly about his involvement in those attacks. here is an interview with Ummat Newspaper of Pakistan in 2001, in which he strongly rejected any involvement!. here is a link for that interview.

My take is that no matter who was behind the attack I am pretty sure even if Bin Laden was not behind it he was in some ways connected. Unfortunately I pity the US for how they have resolved the issue simplifying matters which has been their main headache for 10 years plus millions of dollars.

The conclusive part of whether Bin Laden was behind the 9/11 attacks or not are drawn directly from his quotes, principles and hate he had on the Americans. To him the Americans where nothing but animals who deserved to die... from his Fatwa the following is part of his whole fatwa;

First, for over seven years the United States has been occupying the lands of Islam in the holiest of places, the Arabian Peninsula, plundering its riches, dictating to its rulers, humiliating its people, terrorizing its neighbors, and turning its bases in the Peninsula into a spearhead through which to fight the neighboring Muslim peoples. If some people have in the past argued about the fact of the occupation, all the people of the Peninsula have now acknowledged it. The best proof of this is the Americans' continuing aggression against the Iraqi people using the Peninsula as a staging post, even though all its rulers are against their territories being used to that end, but they are helpless.

And thus when he say that he was not involved.... Logically who would believe him??? This is a part of his speech of denial... As much as he is refusing his words are very contradictory..

I have already said that I am not involved in the 11 September attacks in the United States. As a Muslim, I try my best to avoid telling a lie. I had no knowledge of these attacks, nor do I consider the killing of innocent women, children and other humans as an appreciable act. Islam strictly forbids causing harm to innocent women, children and other people. Such a practice is forbidden even in the course of a battle. It is the United States, which is perpetrating every maltreatment on women, children and common people of other faiths, particularly the followers of Islam. All that is going on in Palestine for the last 11 months is sufficient to call the wrath of God upon the United States and Israel. There is also a warning for those Muslim countries, which witnessed all these as a silent spectator.

What had earlier been done to the innocent people of Iraq, Chechnya and Bosnia? Only one conclusion could be derived from the indifference of the United States and the West to these acts of terror and the patronage of the tyrants by these powers that America is an anti-Islamic power and it is patronizing the anti-Islamic forces. Its friendship with the Muslim countries is just a show, rather deceit. By enticing or intimidating these countries, the United States is forcing them to play a role of its choice. Put a glance all around and you will see that the slaves of the United States are either rulers or enemies of Muslims.

Asha D, in those Quotes which you have quoted!, Osama has only aired his discontent on the American policies just like much of the Arab Population do ,but not on the American civilians, the statement of Americans being Animals is yours , it is not found anywhere in that article.

Concerning the issue of believing or not believing him, You and I, and everybody should demand and find the truth, most of us have heard one side of the story, we haven't heard or taken any trouble to hear the other side.

Why should all allegations against Osama be conclusive that it is indeed he who had done all those stuffs, why dont you ask yourself if indeed it is he who is the mastermind of september 11, while he had on numerous occasion denied his involvement?.
