Ghana is setting its sights on becoming the largest chicken producer in Africa within the next three years.
Local farmers will be supported with day-old chicks, affordable feed, and modern processing facilities to scale up production nationwide.
The goal is to drastically reduce reliance on imported frozen chicken, create thousands of jobs in farming and agribusiness, and ensure that the money spent on poultry stays within the Ghanaian economy.
By strengthening the poultry sector, this initiative is expected to make chicken more affordable, improve food security, and provide sustainable income opportunities for farmers across the country.
