Migiro leaves UN post; forced out or chose to leave?

I am a zoologist, a mammalogist. At more than 90% mammalogists are correct in estimating individual's behaviour and brainpower in relation to facial expression. There are exceptions but lie at less than 10%. This may sound like an insult but trust my assessment which I have been using to providing anticipated performance of our cabinet members. I am always correct and I can give you some examples in the future.

Looking at our sister's appearance/facial expression she don't look to be a person who can accommodate tasks that require a lot of brain power.

Sio kweli. Huyu mama ni mjuzi wa lugha nyingi za kimataifa ikiwemo kiingereza, kifaransa na kijerumani kwa ufasaha. Swala kushindwa kuperform ni kitu kingine kabisa. Nafasi za kimataifa zina mambo mengi sana yanayotokana na lobbying na sio performance pekee.

Barely a week after the immediate former Deputy Secretary-General, Dr. Asha Rose Migiro returned to Tanzania after serving a five-year term at the helm of the world body, sources within the UN have hinted that poor performance and failure to fit "in the diverse and complicated body" were some of the reasons she was refused a contract renewal.

"The position of the Deputy Secretary-General is complicated and demanding; it requires somebody who is experienced to efficiently run the Secretariat. Her biggest challenge was not understanding the politics at the world body and creating alliances," the source told Vox Media in a telephone conversation.

Dr. Migiro is understood to have approached the African Group, the largest regional group comprising of 28 percent of all UN members, to ask for help in lobbying for her re-appointment, but her quest was rejected. "She wasn't popular amongst diplomats; so nobody listened to her. You should also recall that her appointment was widely criticized."

In Dar es Salaam, a former senior ruling party secretariat member who worked closely with her in the same team before she assumed the UN post said her appointment was influenced by her personal relationship with President Jakaya Kikwete. It is understood that President Kikwete and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon cultivated a close relationship when serving as foreign ministers for their respective governments.

When it came for Ban Ki-moon to canvass for votes toward his UN bid, Tanzania's vote was predominant; Dr. Migiro was apparently battered with Kikwete's vote. But when Ban Ki-Moon recently decided to review his entire team in a bid to control growing criticism of his team, Dr. Migiro had to go for "poor performance and lack of experience required of staff with the top UN mandate."

jobs acquired through favors(be it personal or otherwise) are always doomed for failure....Her very premature international experience was not compatible with the UN post....and now (in TZ) we keep hearing about her new prospective offers for the TZ presidency.......just to lure the TZ female voters ..come 2015 elections(considering that ..if this happens...it will be the first time in TZ history)...just as they did with Anne Makinda......electing a bogus Speaker...just for her labia(shavu).....only in TZ yaani.....

Ni afadhali uwe under-performance kuliko kuwa kuna mabaya huyo Mama amefanya.
Kwa sababu amemaliza miaka 5 na nusu bila kashfa yoyote wala baya alilolofanya, kwa hilo tu anahitaji hongera na sio kumsakama humu ndani, kana kwamba mlikuwa mnaomba kutwa kucha huyu mama ajikwae tu kidogo ili mpate cha kuandika.
Kwa vile hakuna alipojikwaa na mkachelea kukosa cha kuandika ndio maana mnaanza kutafuta umbea hata kwenye mitandao ya udaku, ilimuradi tu muupate udaku wa kuandika.

Yeye kazi yake ilikuwa ni kuongoza secretariet and kuanda progrm mbalimbali na siyo kujianika kwenye press.
Yapo mengi sana yamefanywa na Migiro nyuma ya pazia ila ni vigumu mimi na wewe kuyafaham kwa uwepesi kwa kuwa yeye migiro alikuwa ni mtendaji zaidi na sio politician wa UN.
