De Gea
Had nothing of note to deal with in the first half other than an easy effort from Routledge on the volley. But beaten from close-range after Sigurdsson found space for a header.
1.
P. Jones
Came in for Matteo Darmian in the only change from their draw with Chelsea, in at right back, but replaced at half-time with an injury for the man whose place he originally took.
4.
C. Smalling
Picked up the first card of the game for a challenge on Ayew towards the end of the first half but was generally solid, getting himself in good positions to clear the few chances.
12.
B. Schweins...
Steady if unspectacular in the middle, but showed real grit and determination in the tackle to keep the move alive in the build-up to the opening goal from Martial.
31.
D. Blind
Operated at left-back with Matteo Darmian dropping to the bench and steady, although kept on his toes by Routledge, then lost Sigurdsson for the equalising goal.
17.
Ander Herrera
Had one of the best chances of the game for his side after peeling away inside the area to pick up a pass from Young, only to hit his shot at the keeper. Lively and alert in midfield.
21.
Mata
Quick-thinking on the half-an-hour mark from a free-kick saw him almost capitalise on a sleeping Swans defence, but for Taylor. Drifted inside a lot, creating space for Young.
8.
M. Schneide...
Sloppy at times, losing the ball easily in the first half to allow Swansea to counter, and moments later had appeals against him for a penalty after the ball awkwardly flicked off him arm.
28.
A. Young
Slotted in at right-back and provided real width for his side, offering quality from his crossing time and time again, assisting for the opener. A real threat throughout.
18.
A. Martial
Linked up well in the final third with Rooney and showed a willingness to drive into the box, opening the scoring with a header from Young's cross, then assisting for the second.
9.
W. Rooney
Saw some great crossing from Young carve chances out for him, both from the back-post, but didn't always take the best option. Scored with a terrific back-flick for 2-0.
10.
M. Darmian
The only player to be left out of the side from the 0-0 draw at Chelsea, but returned at the interval in place of the injured Jones, at centre-half, but took time to get into the game.
