Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has put pen to paper on a contract extension to keep him at Old Trafford until 2014.
The 29-year-old has already helped United land three Premier League titles, a Champions League, plus three League Cups - the last of which he lifted after skippering the team to victory over Aston Villa last year.
And, with his future now secure, Evra is adamant his desire for silverware has not been satisfied yet.
"Ever since I arrived at United, it's been a dream come true playing here," he told the club's official website.
"The fans, the players, the manager and the staff all work hard to make this club the best in the world.
"I have won a lot in the last five years, but I want to win more and I know that's the mentality of everyone here."
Evra has established himself as one of the world's top left-backs since his £5million arrival from Monaco in 2006.
He has always been a popular figure amongst the United support and his occasional bizarre outbursts - he recently claimed Arsenal was a fabulous football centre but mocked their inability to win trophies - have only reinforced that view.
His links to Monaco will make him a hate figure amongst the Marseille support when United head to the south of France for Wednesday's Champions League encounter with Didier Deschamps' men.
But Sir Alex Ferguson has no fears about Evra handling the abuse and, at a time when the most experienced members of his squad are beginning to end their careers, reckons the defender's influence will become more apparent.
"Patrice is unquestionably one of the world's best left-backs," said the Scot.
"He has developed into a key character in the dressing room and it is great that he has committed himself to the club.
"His experience and skill will be increasingly important to us.

Marseille v Man Utd: majeruhi lubwa.
Manchester United's preparations for their Champions League fixture against Marseille on Wednesday have been hit by the news that Ryan Giggs and Rio Ferdinand both failed to travel with the squad.
Michael Owen (groin) and Jonny Evans (ankle) also failed to board the plane to France, while Anderson fails to make the trip having suffered a knee injury in the FA Cup win over Crawley which could see him sidelined for two months.

Full Manchester United squad: Van der Sar, Kuszczak, Lindegaard; Vidic, O'Shea, Brown, Rafael, Fabio, Evra, Smalling; Scholes, Gibson, Nani, Carrick, Fletcher, Bebe, Obertan, Tunnicliffe; Rooney, Berbatov, Hernandez, King.

Ma Fans wote wa mapepo itabidi muishi kwa matumaini on Wednesday.

Heinze: Greets his replacement on Tuesday

Marseille defender Gabriel Heinze admits he regrets the acrimonious manner of his departure from Manchester United.
The Argentina full-back spent three years at Old Trafford, during which time he won a Premier League and became a crowd favourite amongst the Red Devils faithful for his no-nonsense tackling.
However, his time with the club ended in bitterness.
In declaring a desire to leave in 2007, Heinze demanded to join Liverpool, something totally unpalatable to Sir Alex Ferguson.
The pair exchanged angry words before Ferguson eventually got his way.
Heinze joined Real Madrid instead, after which Ferguson revealed the defender had first asked for a transfer within 12 months of his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain.
Now at Marseille, who tackle United in the Champions League on Wednesday, the 32-year-old looks back on the period with a shake of the head.
He takes full responsibility for his actions and accepts the situation was not handled particularly well.
"I regret it a lot, especially the last three months," said Heinze.
"I am a strong person and so is Alex Ferguson. I took the decision I did and I regret it, especially for the fans and I hope it has not tarnished me with them."
That Heinze wanted to leave in the first place was a disappointment to United. Trying to quit for Liverpool merely inflamed passions.
"I don't really want to talk about what happened four years ago," he said.
"Maybe some day I will tell the whole story.
"But I knew the risks and was aware of what being at a club like Liverpool would mean."
Heinze has met Ferguson just once since, a brief encounter in Qatar when Argentina met Brazil in a friendly.
"I was really happy to see him," said Heinze.
"When I was at Manchester United, Ferguson impressed me a lot. He gave me a winning culture.
"I had three wonderful years there. It is a great club and it is not so very different now from four years ago.
"It is the same coach. He is the one who sends the message that it is always to win.
"The players may change but the philosophy stays the same."
It is a philosophy Marseille must overcome tomorrow, although their task has been made easier by the absence of seven senior United players, including Heinze's former team-mates, Ryan Giggs and Rio Ferdinand.
Although on a personal level, Heinze might have enjoyed seeing his old friends again, professionally, he accepts it is a good thing.
"Ryan and Rio are two big stars," he said.
"Everyone is aware of their quality and although they have other players who can come into the same system, we have to be happy they are not here."
The injury situation means Ferguson's team virtually picks itself.
Heinze recognises the strength that remains. However, he is refusing to adopt a defeatist attitude.
"We are all men, and we all have two arms and two legs no matter what big names are in their team," said Heinze.
"We are fully motivated and we will leave the pitch having given everything. Hopefully, tomorrow will be our night."

Tatizo Valencia bado hayuko fit amekosa karibu msimu mzima, hivi karibuni tuna game na Chelsea na Liverpool ambapo wachezaji kama Park,Anderson na Giggs ni muhimu sana

"There are some important weeks coming up and we hope the players enjoy this period. They don't often let us down, particularly not in the big games."

Better news on injury front

If the number of senior absentees from the aeroplane ferrying United to Marseille had fans fearing - or opponents hoping for - an Old Trafford injury crisis, then Sir Alex Ferguson's pre-match press conference may have nipped both in the bud.
On Ryan Giggs, the Reds manager delivered the good news that his veteran Welsh winger should be "okay for Saturday" when United visit Wigan in the Barclays Premier League. Meanwhile, Anderson's knee injury - sustained in the first half against Crawley Town at the weekend - is not as bad as was first thought and although he has flown to Portugal to see a specialist, he will be out for "maybe two weeks, a maximum of three."
A similar timeframe is envisaged for Ji-sung Park, who hasn't played for United since Boxing Day after captaining South Korea during the Asian Cup and subsequently straining his hamstring while training with the Reds. "We've really missed him, but he'll be ready in two to three weeks," said Sir Alex. Earlier returns are predicted for central defenders Jonny Evans and Rio Ferdinand from their respective ankle and calf problems. "They should be available for the Chelsea match next Tuesday," the manager said.
March could also bring a long-awaited comeback for Ecuadorian winger Antonio Valencia. Sir Alex confirmed he's now training in "contact" situations and may be fit for the FA Cup quarter-final against Arsenal or Leyton Orient on 12 / 13 March.

23:58 Bedtime for me now. Will be back online around 11am French time on Wednesday. Au revoir til tomorrow.
23:50 There was a nice moment before training when Gabby Heinze bumped into some of his old team-mates. Check out the pic of him with Patrice - the man who took over his left-back spot - in the gallery. And see what both Patrice and Gabby had to say before the game.
20:40 Heading out for some dinner now. I got into the French spirit earlier with a lovely Croque Monsieur for lunch. Now I'm off in search of, er, frogs legs?! Maybe not. They'll be plenty more blog entries, pics and stories going up on the site in the lead-up to the game so stay tuned. Bye for now.
20:32 Have just uploaded some pics from our visit to the Stade Velodrome for the press conference and training. Check out the corner where the United fans will be sat. Hope they've brought their winter woolies!
20:02 Just back in my room at the hotel thawing out! There's no denying it's been a nice day here in terms of sun, but wow it is cold. Definitely going to need to layer up tomorrow night.
