kuna Mpira na kuna Anfield mkuu

Siku hizi mashabiki wa Liverpool wamekua vichaa; ukisema neno wanakwambia unapajua Anfield? unaweza dhani Anfield imejengwa jana wakati wamefungwa miaka mingi sana hapo Anfield ndo sababu EPL hawajawai kuibeba.
Mechi zote walizofungwa hazikuchezwa Anfield.

Kwahiyo tukusaidie nini labda?

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has revealed the incredible pre-match Anfield ritual fans may not have noticed.
The skipper, who makes his return to the squad against Atletico Madrid after being sidelined through injury, has explained the one thing every player does before kick-off.
Speaking in the official matchday programme: “Being a supporter on Saturday, I made a point of properly soaking in the feeling around Anfield in those final few minutes and seconds and in particular what was happening on the Kop. It made me realise why it’s so important.
“It was genuinely incredible to look at with all the colours and flags and the noise was unreal. It looked and sounded amazing.
“I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but if you watch our players just before we assemble for kick-off, most have a proper look at the Kop and try to take a moment to take it all in.
“Part of having something special in life is making sure you never take it for granted. That counts for so many things – but as a Liverpool player the positive impact of Anfield and the Kop should be top of that list.”

binafsi sina pressure kabisaaa na game ya leo kwa sababu tukishinda UCL this season, itakuwa just an icing on the cake (aka bonus).

in the context of the bigger picture for the season, we have already achieved what we had aimed for (the EPL crown) at the start of the season.

talking of tonight's game itself, I think it's poised at 50/50.
win tonight, I can't see anyone else stopping us from taking home the UCL trophy the 2nd year running.

I agree we have got the Anfield factor in our favour tonight - granted - but I must confess that our team is currently going through a rough patch in terms of form and intensity and with the way D Simeone sets his team up, we will need to be at the top of our game (100%, no less) to go through. a drop in intensity is understandable for a team that has performed the way LFC have been playing since beginning of the season. am convinced LFC would have stayed (by a mile) at the top of any of the top 5 leagues in Europe this season.

so, guys, let's take it easy tonight and enjoy the ride. I'll take any result mindful of the fact that there's a Merseyside parade on the horizon to flaunt our EPL glory.

Cheers!!
