Kombe la Dunia la FIFA 2026, mashindano makubwa ya kimataifa ya soka, yanaanza rasmi Juni 11, 2026 na kuleta pamoja timu bora za Taifa kutoka duniani kote. Kwa mara ya kwanza katika historia, mashindano haya yanaandaliwa kwa ushirikiano wa nchi tatu: Marekani, Canada, na Mexico.
Idadi ya timu imeongezeka kutoka 32 hadi 48, hatua inayolenga kutoa nafasi zaidi kwa mataifa mengi kushiriki na kuongeza ushindani.

Shirikisho la mpira wa miguu Duniani (FIFA) limezindua mpira maalum utakaotumika kwenye fainali za kombe la Dunia zitakazoanza kufanyika kuanzia mwezi juni mwaka 2026.
Mpira huo umepewa jina la Trionda huku ukiwa na muonekano wa kipekee wa rangi za nchi ya Canada,Mexico na Marekani huku ndani yake ukiwa na sensa (Sensor) ya 500Hz inayotoa taarifa za mienendo yote ya mpira.

The TRIONDA name is an amalgamation of the term "tri-" (for the co-hosts) and the Spanish word onda, meaning wave or vibe. Now we have the full details on the ball that will be used at all 104 matches across the 16 host cities next summer.
The name also follows the adidas tradition of naming the official World Cup balls, which the brand has been designing and supplying for each edition of the tournament since 1970.

The ball, composed of four panels, features a side-mounted motion sensor chip on the inside that will relay data to each game's VAR and video match officials, aimed to assist in faster decisions, including offside and possible handballs.
"We can track every event, every interaction the player has with the ball. Every location at any given moment is being tracked by a local positioning system," said Hannes Schaefke, Football Innovation Lead for adidas. "So this sensor essentially sends a signal 500 times per second, to anchor points around the stadium, which is generally pretty cool."
The three other panels of the ball also serve as a counterbalance to the one that includes the chip. It is also a change in design to the 2022 World Cup ball used in Qatar, which had a suspension system in the middle for the chip.

Kundi A linajumuisha timu za Mexico, Afrika Kusini, Korea Kusini pamoja na nafasi ya nne itakayojazwa na moja kati ya Denmark, North Macedonia, Jamhuri ya Czech au Ireland.

Baada ya miaka 52 kupita, Jamhuri ya Kidemokrasia ya Kongo (DRC) wamefuzu tena kushiriki World Cup. Hii itakuwa mara yao ya pili kushiriki michuano hiyo, mara ya kwanza ilikuwa 1974 huko Ujerumani tena wakati huo nchi yao ilikuwa ikiitwa Zaire. Sasa wamepangiwa kundi K pamoja na Portugal na Colombia.
