ITV, Mengi to be dealt with soon

I have had a number of opportunities (since I left Busanda) to meet with several officials in the government who have assured me that ITV will be shut down sometimes this week after Mr. Mengi has failed to give "sufficient reasons" why his flagship TV station should not be shut down following the spat between him and Rostam Aziz.

The little flies who were in Dar, Arusha and Dodoma looking for some "dirt" have collected enough evidence to show that there is an understated collaboration between some rogue intelligence officers and some of the politicians who were removed from power last year. These rogue elements in the service command unchecked influence and power that no one can challenge.

It is from that collaboration and meetings that intensified sometimes in April (soon after Mengi went public with his allegations) the decision has been taken to tame Mengi and his media outlets and even possible silence him. He has been marked as the individual who pose the most lethal threat to the plan of Agenda 21.

So, together with him there are number of news outlets that have been marked as well the most prominent of them is this esteemed forum. JF will face a clear threat either to tone down its criticism or required in some way to abide by certain standards that are being drawn especially after the "zeutamu" saga.

As I fly back to Dar, I believe the plan to shut ITV is being timed with JK out of the country but with all his blessings. As a step toward that goal, Mr. Mengi will be required to give a testimony or explanation to a government entity, the outcome however has already been predetermined. NO NEED to fight. Any resistance will be futile.

Kuhusu la ITV sina uhakika, And I think hawawezi kufanikiwa. ITV ina partnership na Foreign Media nyingi sana so siamini kama wanweza kufanya hivyo for sake of their reputation, they care polical score than leadership so in this case hawezi.

Ila kwa habari za uhakika kuna a lot of intelligence officers wamemwaga hasa hasa sehemu za mijini kuwamonitor watu wote wanaoongelea ufisadi, au wanaotafuta ushahidi especially wa kesi zinazokaribia kufutwa mahakamani.

Mengi na ITV msiwe na wasiwasi kwani Watanzania wengi tupo nyuma yenu,ikifikia hapo basi JK anataka kutorokea Marekani kwa OBAMA na Labda alienda kuomba hifadhi ya kisiasa ili kuwaachi Nchi ROSTAM,MKUCHIKA,LOWASSA na CHENGE.Naamini hiyo ni thread ya kuchangamsha JF.Mungu inusuru Tanzania na ulaghai wa mafisadi.
 
that will send a very wrong message to the public if they decide to shut down ITV, we will have a lot to say for theis government...who are they for?? people or individual richs??? it is absolutely absurd...jamani hili likitokea we need to do something otherwise tutaendelea kubuluzwa...si kwa kumtetea mengi lakini kuonyesha serikali kwamba inajenga chuki kwa wananchi...liliposema MWANAHALISI...wakafungiwa,,lilipokosea HABARI LEO...walisema wataunda tume na itatoa maoni bungeni..iko wapi??? we can never forget him...ninavyojuwa hawa jamaa kama wakizalimilia kufanya hivyo wanaweza lakini tusije tukakaa tu tuwaangalie...
 
wakifunga JF itatokea nyingine tu..uzuri ni kwamba hakuna mwenye uwezo wa kuzuia hii technologia...ze utamu bado ipo hewani na posti bado zinaendelea kutupwa...inategemea tu wewe unapata wapi internet yeko...maana wameidisiable...Zain mara ya kwanza walikataa kudisiable kwenye mtandano wao huko HQ kwahiyo ikawa watu wenye internet acces kupitia simu za Zain wakawa wanaweza kuiona karibu wiki na zaidi toka ilipopigwa marufuku...naona sasa hivi wamelegeza msimamo...zipo blog nyingi za kikubwa nazo zimepewa onyo kwa sababu za picha wanazoweka lakini haisaidii kwani blog au website za namna hiyo zipo ngapi duniani...
wakiifungia ITV tutaandamana....wakiifungia JF tutafungua nyingine na nyingine...uzuri inawezekana...tena rahisi sana..
 
Ni kweli MTAZAMOWANGU. Unajua hawa jamaa tumewachekea kwa muda mrefu sana na matokeo yake ndio huu umaskini tunaouona sasa kwenye nchi ambayo Mungu kaipa kila aina ya utajiri lakini unaishia kwa waroho wachache. Kinachoniuma zaidi ni kuona kwamba wengi wa mafisadi hawa ni wageni wanaojifanya wazalendo huku wakiwa na passport za Marekani, Uingereza, Canada, India, n.k. Lazima tuanze kuchukua hatua. Baadhi yetu tuko tayari ku-sacrifice kwa maslahi ya watoto wetu na vizazi vijavyo. Tunapaswa kuanza sasa kujadili namna ya kuunganisha nguvu zetu na kuikomboa nchi yetu kutoka kwenye mikono ya mafisadi.
 
I would'nt be surprised if this story, quite apart from being the central theme of Kikwete's address, was just a side anecdote. These government reporters are known to create stories they like and not report momentous utterances.

JK reaffirms free expression


President Jakaya Kikwete has reiterated the government's commitment to guaranteeing freedom of opinion and expression, in order to strengthen democracy in contemporary Tanzania. President Kikwete said that Tanzania had since made positive inroads in its efforts to embrace all facets of democracy, including freedom of expression and opinion. The President, who is on a week-long working tour of the United States, made the remarks on Tuesday when he met Tanzanians living in Southern California.

Mr Kikwete said his government was also promoting key social values such as liberty, respect, harmony and tolerance, all of which would significantly contribute to peace and tranquillity in Tanzania. However, the president expressed concern over cases of abuse of these individual rights, saying freedom of expression and opinion are not the same thing as hurling insults or derogatory public utterances against other people.

But he expressed optimism that such outrageous tendencies would soon come to an end when people eventually build a culture of tolerance and political maturity. On dual citizenship, the president reiterated this was yet to be resolved and that "a significant number" of the local population back home was still against it. Meanwhile, the president has called on Tanzanians in the Diaspora – yet again to support the country's collective development effort -- as a means of improving the living standards in their mother country.

Mr Kikwete was addressing another ‘meet-the-president' session with Tanzanians living abroad, the same at the Beverly Hills Hilton – also in Los Angeles. He stressed the need for all those living abroad to plough back recourse at home – even as they help to provide assistance to the needy and their own relatives. The president also outlined a catalogue of achievements made during his office so far, especially in social and physical infrastructural developments.

Hii ni habari ya kubuni..haina kichwa wala miguu.Hakuna kufunga itv na haya maneno ni ya kujaribu kumpalilia Nyangumi Mengi na kueneza zile hiaaisa zake za kuonewa zionekane ni kweli.
 
ITV ikifungwa hakuna hasara kwa mwananchi wa kawaida,kwa sababu ile ni mainstream media,inatangaza habari za viongozi muhimu wa Serikali. Lakini JF ikigungwa,ni hasara kwetu sisi,kwa sababu hapa kila mtu anaweza kutoa maoni. Ikifungwa JF ni makosa ya Moderator,ambaye anaweka so called adult material,which is just childish and not adult.
Lakini siyo sahihi kusema kwamba Reginald Mengi anatumia vyombo vyake vya habari kuwashambulia watu wengine,au kusema Rostam Aziz anaitumia 'Rai' kuwashambulia adui zake. Wale wafanya biashara wanao uwezo sawa wa kuandika wanachotaka katika haya magazeti.
Na wananchi hawajaoshenyesha appetite ya kutaka ITV ifungwe. Yupo Waziri wa Habari,Mkuchika,au yupo Director wa Mawasiliano. Sasa,ni nani uliyemsikia amesema anataka kuifunga ITV? Kwa sababu siyo vizuri kuwa kipaza sauti kwa habari za majungu.
Agenda 21 ni agenda gani? Tanzanian Mafia ni kina nani? Wana uhusiano na Italian Mafia au New York Mafia au Russian Mafia? Wana uhusiano na Yakuzi? Hata kama wana uhusiano,hawa watu wote ni lazima wapigwe vita,kama tunataka kujenga New World Order.
 
uzuri wa ka-inzi kakisha tuletea 'uchafu hapa' hakajishughulisha kujitetea au kutoa ufafanuzi kenyewe kanaenda kutafuta 'uchafu mwingine'. Heko ka-inzi mi nakuaminia. Na, endapo habari hizi ni za kweli basi watawala wamechanganyikiwa...
