Mimi nadhani hii ni sabotage tu ya wafanya biashara waliozoea kula bila kulipa kodi. Lkn nadhani kuwa na bandari kwa faida ya wachache haina maana kabisa lazima tuendelee kubanana kuliko kuachia watu wafanye wanavyotaka kwa masilahi yao huku nchi ikiendelea kuwa kwenye lindi la umaskini. Singapole imeendelea kwa sababu ya bandari tu na bila kulipa kodi wafanya biashara sidhani ingefika hapo ilipo tunatakiwa kukaza tu hadi kitaeleweka
Nime vema kulipa kodi. Shida ni urasimu wa bandari ya dar...kwanza ukiwauliza mbona mzigo umefika mda na nilipia ila hautoki? Utaskia ohh kwanza inabidi uongeze kodi...ulichajiwa chini walikosea,,,, yaani utachukukia paka basi.
 
HATUA ya kupungua kwa mizigo inayotoka nje ya nchi kwenye Bandari ya Salama haitokani na ongezeko la kodi, anaadika Regina Mkonde.

Dk. Phillip Mpango, Waziri wa Fedha na Mpango amesema kuwa, pamoja na kuwepo kwa madai kwamba, mizigo kutoka nje ya nchi imepungua kutokana na ongezeko la kodi “kauli hii si ya kweli.”

Dk Mpango ametoa kauli hiyo leo katika mkutano wa uorodheshwaji wa hisa kwenye Soko la Hisa la Dar es Salaam (DSE) uliofanyika jijini Dar es Salaam.

Mpango amefafanua kuwa, kuyumba kwa soko la China ndiyo sababu ya mizigo hiyo kupungua kwa kuwa, Tanzania inashirikiana na nchi hiyo katika masuala ya kiuchumi.

“Muangalie uchumi wa China unavyokwenda, soko lake limepungua ulimwenguni, kutokana na sababu ya nchi kuwa na ushirikiano wa kiuchumi na china kumeathiri.

Kodi haiathiri chochote kile, na kelele zote zinazoendelea zinafanywa na wale wakwepa kulipa kodi.

“Waambie waache porojo, waende kwenye takwimu, hata kwa nchi jirani ya Kenya mizigo inayoingia imepungua kwenye Bandari ya Mombasa. Waende wakapate ripoti.”

Amesema kuwa, serikali ipo makini na wafanyabishara ambao hawataki kulipa kodi.

“Walipe kodi tu ili serikali iweze kuwahudumia, haiwezekani bandari itoe huduma kwa wafanyabiashara pasi na wao kulipa kodi, hapana.”


Tanzania traders ditch Dar port for Mombasa

The Tanzania business community is gradually increasing its use of the Port of Mombasa citing too many bureaucracies at Dar-es-Salaam port.

An importer said Tanzanians are afraid of using their own port because of strictness, “where port management is afraid of making decisions for fear of annoying the presidency”.

The Tanzania Ports Authority staff are reportedly wary of an action by President John Magufuli, who sacked four senior officers including director general Awadhi Massawe and the authority’s board chairman Joseph Msambichaka in December.

The purge, said to “root out corruption and inefficiency at the port” saw at least 25 people sacked, including eight middle-level managers.

The slow decision-making has since been blamed for bureaucracies at the port handing over a brisk business to Mombasa, which is already clearing goods destined for Tanzania through the Single Customs Territory.

“More Tanzanian traders are now using Mombasa port to import their wares,” another importer told the Star.

The Kenya International Freight and Warehousing Association confirmed increased activities in clearing cargo destined for Tanzania.

“Things have changed because of the new systems in place which have made importing through Mombasa faster and better. People are coming to Mombasa,” Kifwa chairman for Mombasa region, Eric Gitonga said in a telephone interview.

The East Africa Online Transport Agency said its Tanzanian clients and investors are on a wait-and-see situation.

“Uncertainty in Tanzania’s political environment is one of the issues coming up in regional forums currently. People are slowing down on investments and imports in Tanzania,” said EAOTA marketing director Nyambura Gitonga.

Tanzania imports through Mombasa were 204,000 tonnes in 2015, up from 187,000 tonnes in 2014, Kenya Ports Authority data shows.

“Tanzania’s use of the Port of Mombasa is increasing,” said KPA principal communication officer Hajj Masemo. The management has noted increased transit volumes to the neighbouring country.

Kenya is banking on the newly opened Taveta/Holili One-Stop Border Post to increase its trade with Tanzania.

The OSBP commissioned on February 27, has reduced the time trucks take to be cleared from 33 hours to nine hours.

Total transit cargo to the hinterland through the Port of Mombasa increased by 8.2 per cent from 7.2 million tonnes in 2014 to 7.7 million tonnes in 2015.

Tanzania has three per cent share, with Mombasa serving mainly Northern Tanzania areas of Tanga, Arusha and Usangi.

Magufuli anavyoendesha nchi tu ni sababu tosha ya mizigo kupungua, halafu mnalaumu China?

Sasa hivi hata mimi ningekuwa na biashara kubwa Tanzania na nina uwezo wa kuahirisha uzalishaji large scale kwanza niangalie upepo unavyoenda, ningeahirisha.

We nchi gani rais anaamka anakoroma anavyotaka bila hata aibu wala mpango?

Kama nina biashara na serikali Dar kwa nini uendelee kuwa na imani biashara itaendelea wakati serikali inahamia Dodoma ghafla bin vuu?

Kama unafanya biashara ya utalii na unahitaji kuagiza magari zaidi kwa nini uendelee kuagiza magari wakati unajua serikali imepandisha kodi kwa kuleta VAT kiholela hata kwa watu waliolipia safari zao kabla ya VAT kuwepo?

Ni kweli kuna global decline in shipping kwa sababu ya China. I read an article on this on The Wall Street Journal sometime in June or July of this year I believe. Lakini we usually do not register a blip on these trends according to a long time industry insider. Ni kama vile tumefulia kiuchumi kwa sababu zetu halafu tunasingizia global economic crisis wakati hatuna hata stock exchange wala export za maana to begin with

Magufuli is driving this economy aground. If he does not change, it will be only a matter of time before we face the music.

HATUA ya kupungua kwa mizigo inayotoka nje ya nchi kwenye Bandari ya Salama haitokani na ongezeko la kodi, anaadika Regina Mkonde.

Dr Mpango taratibu anaanza kuchemsha.
Kama sababu za kukauka kwa mizigo bandarini anazotia ni hizo, basi tutegemee bandari yetu kuwa white elephant karibuni.

Dalili zote zinaonyesha inahitajika akili ya ziada kuongeza mapato kwa kuongeza mizigo kwa kuiongezea matumizi bandari yetu.
Statistics sawa lskini tunahitaji mtu wa ku think foward kurudisha heshima ya bandari yetu, maana tusiwe na mentality ya bandari kama geti la kodi tu.
 
Suala la kulipa kodi naliunga mkono kwa asilimia MIA MOJA, kuhusu sababu ya kuyumba soko la China kutu affect moja kwa moja namna hii, SIKWELI nakasirika sana majibu mepesi mepesi ya msomi nguli kama huyu. Kwa nini asishushe details zenye kueleweka??yaani haya majibu yana kera sana, jibu hoja kwa maelezo ya kina ili hata sisi raia wa kawaida tukuelewe na tunufaike na usomi wako, sasa hii maana yake nini?? Wafanyabiashara wanasema hili, waziri anajibu vile?? Kwa nini waziri usionyeshe na kupangua hoja ya Wafanyabiashara, then ukaendelea na maelezo zaidi, hata ikibidi ukatupa na projection ya mambo yatakavyokuwa. Au tatizo ni hawa waandishi makanjanja?? Habari za Tanzania zinakera sana, huwezi soma kitu ukapata points za maana, Wafanyabiashara wanalalamikia hili, waziri anajibu lile, waandishi want report hivi! Ni mwendo wa vurugu mechi.
Kaka umesema pointi ambayo siku zote nasema nalo ni tatizo. Waandishi wetu hakuna kitu cha maana wanachoandika ukakisoma ukakielewa, ni watu wa kucopy na kupaste tu hawafanya uchambuzi wa pumba na mchele, ili mradi wamesikia neno limetoka kwa mkuu basi wao wanaandika?
 
Ukweli wafanyabiashara hawapendi kulipa kodi, kama wameshindwa kufanya biashara hapa tanzania wapo huru kuondoka na kwenda kufunya nchi nyingine ambako watafanya ufisadi wao wa kutokulipa kodi.
Si kila wakati watu hubisha kufanya mambo bila ya sababu!
