Wolverhampton Wanderers Vs Chelsea (FA Cup) - Match stats

The last time Wolves and Chelsea met in the FA Cup was in Round 6 in 1993-94, which saw the Blues win thanks to a Gavin Peacock goal.

Wolves were beaten 6-0 in the Capital One Cup by Chelsea in September 2012. Gary Cahill scored the opening goal of that match while Victor Moses scored the sixth.

The last team to knock out both Chelsea and Liverpool in the same FA Cup campaign were Barnsley back in 2007-08.

Pedro has scored three times and assisted another two goals for Chelsea in the FA Cup this season.

Helder Costa scored in the third round against Stoke, then provided assists for both goals vs Liverpool in Round 4.

Chelsea have won nine of their last 10 games in all competitions v Wolves (L1), keeping seven clean sheets in the process.

After winning five successive away games, Chelsea have won just one of their last four in all competitions (D2 L1).

Antonio Conte's side have failed to score in just one of their last 11 away games in all competitions.

Talking about the squad earlier today, Antonio Conte said:

Yes John Terry is fit for this game, he’s okay,’ reported the Blues boss. ‘All the players are available but there are situations which are better to keep under control.

Marcos Alonso needs a bit of rest, and with David Luiz we have an opportunity to give him a full week to recover well. All the players are in good form and the only problem I have is making the best choices for the game.

Asked about the long-terms futures of two strikers, Diego Costa and Dominic Solanke, Conte said he was confident Diego Costa would still be at the club next season, but less so on Solanke.

Talking about Wolves, he said:

I like to win every competition in every season. For sure, it won’t be easy in the league or the FA Cup.

Tomorrow won’t be easy. Wolves beat Liverpool away and Stoke away. We must pay great attention because they showed in the recent past they have the capability to beat great teams. I hope tomorrow will be different and Chelsea will reach the next round.
