"Costa has a chance for the weekend but we don't need to risk players,” he added.

Premier League trophy spotted at Stamford Bridge after BBC error

The Premier League trophy -- not yet won, of course -- has already been on display at Stamford Bridge, spotted on the pitch by an eagle-eyed group of stadium tourists. If that sounds like a colossal [fun] up to you, that's because it definitely was, although mercifully the error was a result of someone else's incompetence rather than any gross cockiness from the club.

We were filming a sequence for use in the event that Chelsea win the Premier League and the footage will only air on that basis. We made every effort to ensure the trophy wasn't exposed to the public, but unfortunately it was briefly visible from a distance to a stadium tour.

Good work, kids. Chelsea are angry that they've been made to look arrogant more arrogant than usual, and the Premier League is also pretty angry that its shiny pot found its inevitable home early (according to the Mail, it was on display on Tuesday, which meant that we were still six points away during filming). Meanwhile Sky are angry that the trophy wasn't on the pitch at Anfield or the Emirates.

And so it has come to pass that on the final day of the feast of the goddess Ēostre, Willian Borges da Silva, 26, has won your Man of the Match award. Afroed and dangerous, this is also Willian's joint-highest ever community player rating, matching the 8.9 he received for his performance in the fall against Roberto Di Matteo and Schalke 04.

Willian had actually won the community vote once before, in his fourth game ever for Chelsea, but that one was mostly driven by the fantastic goal he scored against Norwich City. This one, on the other hand, has the sense of hard work and persistence behind it, not to mention plenty of criticism. But Willian has persevered and continues to be one of the first names on Jose Mourinho's team sheets. In this one he was deployed more centrally (Ramires was on the right wing instead), at least initially. We've seen this a few times before; the no.10 is a pretty good fit for the Lion Tamer.

2. JOHN TERRY - DC 8.7

It's a good thing we already signed Terry to the latest, customary one-year extension, otherwise we might be wondering what else he'd need to do to earn that new contract.

Defense aside, JT's always had a knack for scoring important goals. And after another living legend popped up to bring us level, John was John...ny-on-the-spot to shin Gary Cahill's acrobatic header past Kasper Schmeichel and Esteban Cambiasso. It was Terry's 38th career Premier League goal, bringing him level with David Unsworth for most by a defender in Premier League history.

Cesc? What's he doing here? Shouldn't he be counting his moneys while resting on his first-half of the season laurels? What is this sorcery?!

Fàbregas was perhaps our only player to come out with any credit from the awful first 45 minutes against Leicester, and he continued to be influential in the second half, pushing further and further forward as Chelsea searched for a winner. He eventually collected his 17th assist of the league season on Ramires's goal. Four games left to match or break Henry's record of 20!

Arsenal's Arsenal Wenger says Jose Mourinho lacks respect
By Emlyn Begley, BBC Sport

Chelsea's Jose Mourinho lacks respect for his fellow managers, says Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

Gunners fans chanted "boring boring Chelsea" during last weekend's 0-0 draw, and Mourinho said the Gunners' 11-year wait for a title was "boring".

Wenger was asked about those comments in his pre-match news conference for Monday's game with Hull.

"The biggest thing for a manager is to respect other managers. Some people have to improve on that," he said.

In February 2014 the Chelsea boss called his opposite number a "specialist in failure", and then in October the Gunners boss shoved his rival during a heated touchline quarrel.

Wenger said: "You can have incidents with other managers sometimes.

"It gets a bit heated when you fight directly with them, but in the end I believe time heals and the important thing is to respect each other as much as you can."

Jose Mourinho says champagne not on ice before facing Crystal Palace, where win will secure title

Mourinho: We want to seal title in front of our fans
Chelsea v Crystal Palace | #CHECRY | Match preview >>

Jose Mourinho says the champagne is not on ice as Chelsea bid to secure the Barclays Premier League title in front of their fans against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Chelsea have dominated domestically this season, losing just twice in the league, and another win would confirm a first top-flight crown since 2010. A 3-1 come-from-behind victory at lowly Leicester City in midweek left Chelsea on the brink of a fourth Barclays Premier League triumph and a third under Mourinho.

The Portuguese is eager to ensure the task is finished at Stamford Bridge, but stressed it would be foolhardy to feel the job is done.

"It's easy," Mourinho said. “We need two or three points to be champions. Let's say three, to make sure we don't depend on goal difference.

"We need a victory or we need three points with three draws. Obviously, we want to finish as soon as possible.

"If we can do it at home, better. If we can do it on Sunday, even better. That's what we have in our mind.

"Similar to [the games against] Arsenal and Leicester, we go to win but, at this moment, any point that we get is a positive point. So, we are calm.

"At this moment we have nothing prepared [for celebrations], nothing organised."

Chelsea are again without their top scorer, Diego Costa, with a hamstring injury, but welcome back Loic Remy (calf). They come up against a manager who has masterminded a victory over them this season.

Alan Pardew was at Newcastle United when they beat Mourinho's side 2-1 at St James' Park in December. Since taking over at Selhurst Park in January, Pardew has steered Palace to safety, but has been left disappointed by back-to-back 2-0 defeats in home matches against West Bromwich Albion and Hull City.

Pardew has called on his team to respond in the correct manner and ensure Chelsea's title celebrations are put on hold for at least another week.

"Last weekend was below the group's standard," he said. “I didn't even need to tell them, they told me. We didn't reach the levels last week.

"We need to respond following our recent defeats, for ourselves and to keep the Premier League title race interesting."

Palace remain without Fraizer Campbell and Marouane Chamakh (both hamstring), but Joel Ward will hope to shake off a shin injury.
